Best value in Granada. New hotel built to American standards and even quiet between rooms. Find that in Spain! WiFi is fast everywhere and free. Good size rooms with fresh linens, towels, carpets, etc. There is nothing to complain about here. #33 bus stop is 50m out and to the left of hotel entrance (every 15 mins from 7am until 11:30pm). This line goes to center of town and is 10 mins to Cathedral area where you will no doubt be much of the time. The #33 is also direct to and from bus station, about 30 mins ride depending on time of day. The #13 bus stop is about 100m out and to the right and goes to the top of the hill for Alhambra every 30 minutes. It's a 5-7 minute ride. A taxi back at 3am is still only about 7 Euros. Riding the bus is a little inconvenient but you get used to it. They come frequently and run all the time. Buy a bus pass with 7-33 trips on it and you'll cut the fare almost in half. The luxury, quiet and rooms of this hotel far outweigh the inconvenience of taking a 10-15 minute bus ride into the center each time you want to go out. Fyi, the food in the hotel is not as bad as some have written but there is a restaurant next door with nearly the same menu and prices. It is much better. |

Even though it was 10 minutes on the bus into the town centre, this was an excellent hotel. New, modern and very clean. The bus was really regular and stopped right outside the hotel. There was also a bus stop nearby to go up to the Alhambra, although not as frequent service. We'd go back for the buffet breakfast alone!!! (which was included in the price). |

A very nice hotel with beautiful rooms. Breakfast is very extensive. You need to take a bus to get into the city center (15 minutes drive). |

The room was large and comfortable, excellent beds and en suite. Could have done with the air con on a lower setting, it was too hot in the room. The settings are controlled from a central location and were set for winter. We had to open a window which let in a lot of noise. |

All the positives are correct and more. This is far more comfortable and quiet than staying in town for the same price. Get a bus pass, they stop in Front. 10 minutes into town on #33 and 7 minutes up the hill to Alhambra on #13. Out late, taxi is less than 10 Euros from town, even at 3am. The food is not as bad as mentioned. 4-Star hotel does not mean 4-star restaurant folks. All hotel food is average but this was better than reviewed here. Prices are high but hey, you're in a hotel! Free Wi-Fi works everywhere and fast. |

Clean, Modern, Good breakfast, Parking available Air conditioning not working, we were told that the central air had been turned off. It took 2 uncomfortable nights for the staff to advise us that the air conditioner and heat controls were wired incorrectly and reverse to what they should be. After unit was checked and staff member physically showed us how controls worked, everything was fine. |

Really loved the modern decor of the Macia. Location terrific - easy access to highways and bus to Alhambra. Staff very friendly. Spoke English. Dining room food was excellent and well served. Only one big problem: the air conditioning, or lack of it. The system is designed to cycle on for a few minutes then off for lots of minutes. During the "off" time, the room would get very hot, stuffy, super uncomfortable to sleep in. As much as I liked every thing else about the hotel, I would never stay here again due to the lack of good a/C. We even had maintenance come and check our system. He said nothing could be done - this was the system!!! Also, the room window opened all of 3' - so that was not an option. |

The Hotel was modern, attractive, well setup and was a pleasure for myself and my wife to stay at for our trip to Granada. It was a little further from the Alhambra than I thought, but with the car, it was easy to get to. Also, it was easy and convenient to take a bus downtown (where we didn't want to park.) At this hotel, we felt very safe. I spoke to the woman at the desk at least 3 times, and each time she was simultaneously chatting with other employees while she was helping me. It was a little annoying. At the restaurant I had trouble using my charge card. They tried to charge me in dollars rather than euros. |

We found it to be real great value for money just as promised. The spa was fantastic. Also, if you come by car you don't have to drive downtown Granada, which is difficult. The bus goes very often downtown, so there is no trouble at all. Great breakfast. |

Real good value for money - if you have a (rental) car than this is the place to stay in Granada. 5 min drive from the Alhambra, 10 min from the city center. |

The hotel is very smart and the pool was very good. The parking was on site, underground & safe The room temperature is controlled via climate control & is set to high as the room was very warm at night, we asked if someone could come to open the window, but no one came, the control handle on the shower kept falling off this was also ignored by cleaning staff & reception. The spa was of poor quality & certainly not quiet & peaceful |

This is the perfect hotel for visiting the Alhambra, especially if you travel to Granada with your car. A five-minute drive up the steep hill takes you right to the Alhambra parking area. The hotel is modern, elegant and the rooms are very comfortable. It is the best value for money hotel I have encountered in 21 years of travelling in Spain. The hotel is not in the downtown area, but a short taxi ride (7 Euros) will take you to the city center and there is a bus stop 50 meters from the hotel too. Leave your car in the hotel's underground garage, driving in Granada is only for the locals! I am very impressed with this hotel and I will be returning soon. The restaurant is not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Have your dinner elsewhere, there are lots of good restaurants in Granada. |
