room very clean, nice ensuite bathroom/shower, quiet.cheap. excellent location near river. 2 twin beds vs double bed. receptionist seemed more interested in closing the days accounts than attending to waiting clients (10minute wait) |

Hostal Mirentxu was great! I was staying by myself and they accomadated me greatly, changing/lengthening my stay easily, great price, great room, great location just 5 minutes walk from Puerta del Sol/ Plaza Mayor, 2 minutes walk from Museum Thyssen and 5-10 mins from Parque Retiro and the Prado. Friendly service, willing to help in anyway, a great breakfast for 3.5 Euro, clean room with towel everyday. Felt that my stuff was safe, great overall experience. No air condition but open windows helped! |

Room was clean and surprisingly large for a single. Location was spot on, within easy reach of landmarks and metro stations. I don't speak Spanish and the staff don't speak much English but they tried really hard to communicate with me! |

The hotel was very accommodating about getting us a cab in the morning so we could get to the airport -- they escorted us down the street to where the cab they'd called was waiting. In order to sleep at night it was necessary to keep the windows and shutters closed to keep out street noise. But since it was extremely hot in Madrid, and the room had no fan or air conditioning, the room was quite uncomfortable for sleeping since it was so hot inside. |

The location was excellent, we didn't even need to use the metro while we were in Madrid because we could walk everywhere from the hotel, even the train station was a walkable distance (as long as you aren't carrying big bags). The room was fairly basic but the price was excellent, good value for money. The walls are too thin, we could hear everything going on in the next room. There was also a lot of noise from the street, all the glass recycling for the street gets picked up in the middle of the night and there was also construction going on in the area that got started early in the morning. |

Family-run, clean and cheap breakfast. Spacious rooms. Free Wifi. Ensuite toilet was small with no doors hence water could get into bedroom. |

The rooms did not have a TV, or any facilities. There was no socket in the room for to charge the laptop computer or mobile phone and staff did not make any effort to help. The room at night was full of fleas and Insects....and the breakfast was a coffee and 2 pieces of toast for 3.50 euro, I reccomend stay away from this place... |

Location, location, location, 5 min to Metro Sevilla and 8 min to Sol, also near the museums triangle, especially Thyssen. It's a basic pension, with very welcoming staff and excellent value for money, including free WiFi. |

Good location, good price, simple but tasteful. Noise from corridor and adjacent rooms because of hard floors. |

All the Staff Members were so Kind and Helpful even if some did not speak English. It was a typical " Mom & Pop " run Hotel which is very refreshing in a new, big City that I had never visited. The Family Members also performed the Housekeeping duties and kept my Room Spotless everyday. The Breakfast was small but it was enough to get you going each Day. I cannot say anything bad about this Hotel |

The room was clean and tidy,it's very well located between the major art galleries and the city centre. It's convenient for the Metro and buses whilst also being convenient for decent bars and restaurants. It's a little bit awkward, that very little English is spoken(which is probably my problem),you can also hear any noise made in the hall or reception from your room. |

I called to let them know I would be late and it was well past midnight by the time I got there. I knew, from past reviews, it was hard to find so I had specific directions. I got there with no problem and they went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. |
