My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast. The attitude of some of the staff. They seem like we were a bother. |

Close to the tourist area and the tour company. On main street - very safe. Reception area small and very modest. Cannot be called a 4 star hotel. Receptionist not efficient; helpful only to a limited degree. Does not give a vistor travelling from far away & first time to Spain, a good impression of the country. |

Room though small, has all good amenities. Free Minibar with water, juice and soft drinks. Buffet breakfast included in room rate is excellent. No concierge at hotel door, no help service with luggage. |

This a fabulous hotel in a good location with an easy walk to most locations and right next to the metro station. The room was a great size, the hotel staff very helpful and the breakfast excellent. |

Excellent location in the city center, close to major attractions, metro, English-speaking staff, nice breakfast A few rooms that we checked smelled of smoke, a couple of upper floors have elevated humidity level and a smell of swimming pool/sauna |

The reception staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was spacious and quiet. We were not told about the cost and limited opening hours of the pool and spa - and spa staff were unhelpful and off hand. |

Despite being in very busy City Centre, due to the excellent double-glazing, the room gave us absolute peace and quietness. Excellent position for all major shops, attractions etc. etc. with lovely park areas and botanical gardens not far away. Also several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. Useful as hotel restaurant did not provide a particularly welcoming atmosphere. For a 4 star hotel, it was disappointing that, despite mentioning on our first night, our refrigerator, although connected to electricity supply, refused to go cold so the free water and fruit juices provided came out warm. Also, on arrival, there was no plug in either our wash basin or bidet and the bath plug was not attached to the chain. |

Very central, good value for money, comfortable, breakfast is extra charge but is very good with excellent choice. They let the kids have breakfast free which was nice, only the adults paid. We chose a family room and I'm not sure we would have got as good a value in any other hotel. This is my third time staying there and I will definitely go back again. Madrid is lovely.. There are a lot of switches for lights and fans in the room and it takes forever to figure out how they work. |

Helpful staff, beautiful room, double-double glazing on windows so wonderfully quiet despite being on the street side. We were lucky to be able to see the Royal Palace from our window. There's a free mini-bar with soft drinks as well, replenished daily. The free wireless actually worked. Really happy and impressed. |

The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to be in the heart of the city. The metro station is around the corner and you are steps from many stores. There are always taxis available and its a win win for location. The hotel is older and it lacks some charm. The hotel is in the heart of the city and its an olfer structure. The room is clean and a good size. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was very big. The problems were that the floor was somewhat worn out and some paint retouch would be nice. I also had an issue with being placed facing the back of the hotel. |

The floor of the room was wet by the bathroom and all the room smells (when you take shower and if not carefully you can have the room cover by the water). the previous room I had was so dark (no real windows) looked more like a prison. Not suitable for 4 star and the price paid. |

The free mini bar was nice and the location was very good. The hotel staff recommended an italian restaurant close to the hotel which was not good. The Spa was booked out a week thus if you are wanting a massage call ahead. |

It was a pleasant stay. The hotel room was fine, but the bed was hard as rock! Didnt use the spa or the restaurant as they were expensive. Really quiet though and situated in a great spot as not far from anywhere. The only problem we had was on the second morning we received a wake up call at 5am which we hadnt requested! |

Friendly, welcoming staff. Free mini-bar was a boon after hot days. Good sized rooms. Most of the central Madrid attractions and shopping was within walking distance. Metro station very close . |

I requested more pillows from the hotel staff and never recieved them, the rooms were quite small and felt like we were put in a forgotten corridor, the website wasnt very clear about the fact that the pool only belonged to the spa and had to be paid for separatly |
