Central location. Staff friendly and all who I met spoke English which helped my limited Spanish. The junior suite we had was above average for junior suites we have had before. Two things that went against our stay.1) The street uprooting that was being done whilst we were there. From early morning the jack hammers started and since we were on the front of the building, fifth floor, the noise was terrible and the building actually vibrated. It did not cause any interference or reduce our holiday experience except to make us get up earlier!! 2) The number of prostitutes that were outside the building, 'working' slightly but only slightly away from the entrance from early morning to when we retired at night. They caused no problems but were so evident. No what you would hope to see in a capital city's city centre. Your website reflected these girls but did not expect to see so much of it about. |

The hotel is very well situated in the middle of the old centre of Madrid. A metro station is in front of the entrance to the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel room was very clean, beds are comfortable, bathroom was clean and well equiped. Staff very efficient. The minibar contained only water and fruit juice. No other beverages. The upside however was that water and fruit juice were for free. |

Convenience to shopping. There were a lot of prostitutes and unsavoury characters hanging around the area near the hotel. We do not feel safe. I would not recommmend this hotel for families with children. |

Large room with radio, fridge, iron and water kettle. There were no blackout blinds, our room was facing the main street so it was rather bright at night |

Our room had leak in the bathroom ceiling. The desk clerk immediately moved us to another room. The 2 girls that we on duty at the desk when we checked in were excedingly friendly and helpful. The hotel is just beautiful. The breakfast buffet was the best one we saw anywhere. |

Excellent, helpful staff speaking English, room was lovely, free soft drinks mini bar, kettle, free wi-fi, rooms were sound proofed, didn't hear other guests coming or going. Breakfast very good with lots of options our room overlooked some roadworks, but hardly the fault of the hotel as it appeared we had been upgraded to a juinior suite. So long as the windows were shut, noise was minimal. Need more English channels on TV |

Charming hotel in an excellent location (the fact that we were at the top of the red light district was more amusing than it was a concern - no problems whatsoever). Also, the was in which the General Manager handled an issue which we experienced with our room - very satisfactory. Not all of the employees exhibited professionalism and initiative when it mattered most, but this was the exception. |

The location of this hotel is the only good thing - near to shopping areas. The rooms are really old. I was moved two times because of poor room conditions. The breakfast was just ok. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. |

Ours was a one-night lay-over stay in Madrid; the room and its appointments were what we were most interested in and we were well satisfied. The breakfast room staff is somewhat aloof and not as attentive as they could be to help make the start of the day pleasant. The immediate surrounding around the hotel (but beyond it's control) is a bit seedy, e.g. prostitutes, etc. |
