Location was excellant, only 5 minutes walk to the Palace. We used the Metro to get from the airport to the hotel and though we used 3 trains we found it easy to use. Howerer, when you exit the station it is good to have an idea where the hotel is, as it is located down a hill and not visible . Also the room size was very generous and though it was close to a busy area the rooms were very quiet. We were quoted a price of 23 euro each for a coach to the airport, yet the taxi we picked up outside the hotel was only 25 euro. Breakfast was a bit steep at 18 euro however if you booked it the night before it was 12 euro. |

Public rooms are lovely, location is superb in Madrid. Airconditioning was great! Bathroom needed renovation. Fixtures were clean, but old, as evidenced by their lack of shine, and shower curtain was flimsy, failing to keep the water inside the tub shower. |

The hotel room is spacious, comfortable and cozy. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. The hotel is situated near the places of interest such as Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and etc. |

The best thing about this hotel was the central location. It's close to the palace, opera, most plazas. Rooms were cosy and clean. Noisy air condition. |

I like the old fashion furniture and the classical atmosphere. The position is good, near the Royal Opera and Royal Palace. I have a problem with the payment with them. I paid by credit card at the time of reservation and I had to pay again (double) at the reception because they claim that they refund me the amount before my arrival at the hotel. Is very strange this because I didn't ask for that refund and the reservation policy says that no refund if possible! |

Everything. It's a real 4 star hotel. It's not about the hotel, it's about the street where the hotel is located. This street is under reconstruction and the noise is unbearable. |

Good position for visiting Madrid, free wi-fi in the room and quite good breakfast We booked a double room and we got a king sized single (larger than a standard single but smaller than a double) at the reception they told us that the upgrading to a double room was 20€ per day! Very unfair! |

Excellent position in relation to the main sights in Madrid and the shopping area. The room was noisy as you could hear the lift moving up and down and the beds were a bit hard. |

Great hotel! .... Chose Tryp Ambassador for location and on other traveler recommendations. The facility is very nice, clean with very large well apppointed public areas. Everything was great about the room itself..... clean, quiet, great bed, very roomy. Servive? ... The toilet broke one morning (water would not stop running). Stopped by desk to report it on the way to breakfast. |

Very well located. My room was larger than expected, a seperate area with sofa bed around a corner leading to as large bathroom. It was away from the street so quiet enough until the room cleaning began. I was allowed a late-checkout until 4pm after signing up to the hotel's rewards program, which was very welcome. When I checked in, I asked for an iron to be sent to my room (something which I assumed was normal for any european hotel) but was told that they don't provide irons/boards, but that they do however provide an ironing service. I didn't enquire how much, but I thought it was like Ryanair charging to use the toilets, and just wore my t-shirt with a few extra wrinkles instead. Is this normal in... |

The Family room had a few extras for the kids: welcome chocolates and cartoon theme. State of decoration and fixtures was a bit dated. Not really worth the amount we paid. |
