Hotel's central location to the center of Madris old city. Sights, resturants, shopping were all within walking distance or by public transportation. Noise at night. Although street was not commonly used by vehicles there were a couple bars/ resturants and the patrons liked to hang out in the street almost all night. On Saturday night they did stay out in the street all night making all sorts of noise! |

The location is convenient. The website notes the hotel is air conditioned but we were told on arrival that we had not booked a room with air-conditioning! In addition the walls were paper thin and we got very, very little sleep because even with earplugs we heard everything going on around us all night - most unpleasant! |

Perfect central location and the very reasonable cost. Lovely clean, simple and perfectly acceptable hotel. Reviews I read prior to booking mentioned the noise in the street at night - this was true but don't let it put you off, just take ear plugs! The safe deposit box did not work in the room. After putting in 1 Euro on 2 occaisions to operate the thing we asked reception staff to return our euros but the boxes are managed by another organisation so they could not help. |

the main + of the hotel is it's location: it is situated in the city center. It's rather clean and the main things you need when you are travelling you can find there. The personal of the hotel doesn't speak english and it's a great problem for a foreign traveller, as they even don't try to understand what do you want. |

Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the Puerta del Sol. Clean rooms. Great bathroom with extra large shower cubicle. No Spanish TV channel available in our room. Staff at the hotel were for the most part indifferent to us, verging on rude. Despite the fact that I stayed there 3 nights with an engaging and polite 11 year old boy, and I spoke Spanish to them, the staff made no effort to make us feel welcome. |

Excellent location near Plaza Santa Ana, Puerta del Sol, Metro stops, museums and central Madrid tourist sights. Excellent traditional tapas bar (La Venecia) across from hotel serving Jerez. Shower door broken. Street is very loud at night due to nearby bars-- noise well controlled by double sets of windows. |

I liked the fact that the hotel was close to the center of the city. The metro stop was two blocks away, and that made it very easy to get to the hotel from the airport and to the Atocha train station from the hotel. We arrived on Good Friday, 2009, just before the Good Friday procession passed within about a block of the hotel. |
