Good dinner menu from chef Richard Etherington. Traditional Canarian hotel, internal balconies, lots of wood, full of character. Nice roof garden. Multilingual staff spoke Spanish, English, French & German. Located in the old town away from the bustle. Much nicer than the concrete nightmares on the coasts!! We were there to go hiking but La Orototava is a lovely town which is worth exploring. Room was very dark but avoid room 104, the busy kitchen back door is just below the window (which needs to be open for air). If there is a function downstairs, like on Friday 6th Nov our last night , there is no soundproofing from the festivities below. Breakfasts not as good as dinner, manager happily made scrambled eggs but next day kitchen staff said "not possible". Not easy to park near hotel normally but situation much worse in November when the Commune blocked off the street to renew the pavements. La Orotava one way system is a challenge, so make sure your GPS map is up to date and memorise the route after the first time!! |

In a quiet location close to the Town Hall, this is a fine small hotel in one of Tenerife's nicest, unspoiled, towns. The restaurant serves decent food, the hotel is very nicely presented in traditional Spanish style around a central courtyard, and the staff are both friendly and helpful. No fan or air conditioning in bedroom. |

The dinner produced by Richard Etherington was absolutely superb. Parking extremely difficult and the hotel staff were unhelpful to the point of indifference. Some constructive advice would have made a big difference. |

The two recptionists/waitresses were very friendly and welcoming, not just to Rural Victoria, but also Oratava Little evidence of "management" or cohesive awareness of hotel guests (apart from above). Hoped for excellent cuisine but disappointed. |

really friendly staff,good location,excellent breakfast.A really relaxing stay. Nothing to do with the hotel but in the evening it is better to go to Puerta Cruz as la oratova has very little in the way of restaurants.luckily there is an excellent bus service . |

Hotellets allt-i-allo, receptionist, servitris, bartender, frukostvärdinna, var väldigt trevlig och mån om gästerna. Maten i restaurangen var förstklassig och väldigt prisvärd. Svårt att hitta till hotellet. Kunde gärna funnits en vägbeskrivning på hotellets hemsida då orten är späckad av små och enkelriktade gator och dåligt skyltat. Svårt med parkering om man kommer med bil. |

Das Hotel hat einen gewissen Charme, mit schönem Innenhof. Die Zimmer sind alle unterschiedlich und individuell. Kein Massentourismus. Der Ort Orotava, in dessen schönen Altstadtkern sich das Hotel befindet, ist am Abend sehr ruhig. Die Restaurant Küche war ausgezeichnet, spanische und internationale Spezialitäten auf sehr hohen Niveau. Der Service sehr freundlich und bemüht. Handtuchwechsel nur nach Aufforderung. Die Materazzen der Betten und die Zudecken könnten mal erneuert werden. |

Das Atmosphäre im Haus mit seiner besonderen Architektur ist einzigartig. Auch in unserem Zimmer (3. Stock) herrschte ein ganz besonderes Flair, von der Dachterrasse aus konnte man sowohl die Berge als auch das Meer sehen. Abends kann man im Hotelrestaurant sehr günstige 3-Gänge-Menüs mit landestypischen Spezialitäten bestellen. Mit den Parkplätzen in der Umgebung ist es ein bisschen schwierig. Teilweise muss man auf stark abschüssigen Straßen rückwärts einparken. |
