Wonderful location for shops and restaurants. We were in a third floor room with the pub/bar of the hotel just above us. The noise overhead was dreadful and not something any hotel guest should have to put up with into the wee hours of the morning. |

The room was large and comfortable. The thirties decor lovely. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was right in the centre of Malaga but if you came by car it was impossible to find as it was situated in the pedestrian zone. We came by car. The parking was 10 minutes away from the hotel and it cost us 16 euros for one day. The staff was not particularly friendly and did not offer any help with cases etc. |

Unbeatable central location in the heart of Malaga yet, in our room on the 4th floor, the soundproofing kept all street noise out. Breakfast is served until noon - allowing for a lazy lie-in. On arrival at 8pm, we were told that there was a problem with the door locks in several rooms, so we would have to be transferred to the Lola. I refused and, miraculously perhaps, after the receptionist made a phonecall, rooms could suddenly be found. One thing I'd like to see improved is the access.... |

Was not the hotel one expected. The entry is just a door to stairs or a lift, but the photos lead one to expect a proper hotel entrance. In the rain this made the hotel difficult to find. |

Central location, boutique size and style, charming, helpful staff. We have stayed at Hotel Larios several times before and will do so again. Bathroom flooded with water from room above (we had to change rooms); power cut throughout the hotel for 6 hours on a very hot day. Although this wasn't the fault of the hotel, it spoiled our experience. Overall the hotel looks as if it needs freshening. The staff explained that the new owners (Roomate) are investing in the hotel and will remedy these problems. |

We enjoyed the location and breakfast. The apples on the nightstand were a nice touch. Check-in and -out were easy. The directions provided by email from a hotel employee to take the blue #19 bus from the airport were very helpful and accurate. The first floor (street level) and the lobby level bathrooms smelled like sewage. The front desk staff was not friendly. On our fourth day, the doorknob to the bathroom door came off, and when we told the front desk employee, he seemed to take a mental note but we were there for two more days, and the doorknob was never fixed. This was not a four star hotel by our American standard. |
