Our stay in the Parador de Leon was fantastic. The building is a real tresure and it is a pleasure to be part of it by staying. The staff was very friendly the hotel has a wonderfull restaurant where one sit to enjoy a long lunch or dinner. The bar was also great. It is not far from the center, 10 min walk and easy to find. It also was very convenient that it has a parking that is for free for guests. There is also a nice cafeteria in the street in front, close enough to have a quick breafast and go. I would love to come and stay in this hotel again, we had a room in the new area and we really enjoyed the balcony and the views to the garden. The old area is composed by the suites and a few other rooms that were a bit more pricy. |

The facade of the hotel The rooms are in a modern, and not a very attractive building. The traffic noise made it impossible to open a window and there is not enough fresh air in the room. Rather hard beds. The location of hotel is not very central. |

It's a beautiful, historic building,, but getting there is not easy and not well marked in a city with lots of traffic. The staff treats those poor folk who stay in the cheaper part of the hotel as inferiors and not worthwhile. |

The staff was completely accomodating about checking us in early and making sure the room was ready for us. It´s a bit far from the Cathedral and the old part of the city, but it´s still magnificent! |

The building is fascinating and beautiful, and has been very well converted into a hotel without destroying any of that. The staff were superb, and we were given a special welcome because they had noticed that it was my birthday. Being outside the old town actually proved to be an advantage - while the cathedral is absolutely stunning and not to be missed, it was wonderful to return to the serenity of the Parador. |

The staff were surly and unhelpful, especially the porters, and the Head Waiter was positively rude and arrogant. So much so that we boycotted the Dining Room for the entire duration of our stay. |

The fact that the hotel is based on the original San Marcus monastey of León. The hotel as most modern facilities in an olsfashioned way. The Paradors has a special atmosphere, which you don't find in other Hotels. |

The bathroom was good. There were a big bath tab, 2 washbasins (twin room), and soaps that smelled nice. The room was spacious and the terrace was also nice with a table and chairs. On the map the hotel seemed a little far away from the central of the city, but it was not a big problem and we were able to walk. The beds were not very comfortable. The view from the room was bad. The air conditioner did not work well in the afternoon and the evening, so the room was hot. (at midnight and in the morning, it was not hot or even cold so the air conditioner was not necessary) |

Quite central yet easy to find. Secure parking. Very grand appearance, especially at night. Despite a/c the room was too hot and humid. |

Good parking facilities. Tendency to arrogance. Not as good as it thinks it is. Staff not helpful and friendly. Breakfast very ordinary. |

The Facade of the Paradore is awe inspiring, all of the public rooms are luxurious, there is an air of grandeur throughout, it is a treat to stay here. The bedrooms in the new wing are spacious, well equiped and each have there own balcony. The buffet brecfast has a vast array of choice for all tastes and the main Restaurant is excellent for lunch or dinner. Stayed two nights would have liked to stay longer! I did request a room in the old part of the hotel, but did not get it, however the newer area is very confortable. |

The hotel is located within a spectacularly historic building in the refurbished Plaza de San Marcos, a little outside the main centre of the city. The public rooms are beautifully restored in the style of many Spanish paradors. Most of the (many) bedrooms appear to be in a more modern wing. The Parador feels a little institutionalised, with an emphasis on mass catering. A charge of 20 euros for a buffet breakfast was expensive. It is not conveniently located for the old centre of the city, where most of the action is in the evening. |

Magnificent building that is a must-see in Leon. Spaceous private parking with 24h security. Cleanleness of the room and service was sub-standard - you can find dust everywhere and bathroom was not well cleaned. This was a big disappointment - clearly the hotel was not maintained up to the high standard of the Paradores. Seems like they rely on the building itself to attract guests. Most of the standard rooms are in a new annex with no good value for money ratio. |

It thought it was above itself. The rooms were cold, it snowed, and we had to ask for extra heat. Expensive breakfast €20. We did not have. Ate out for €3 much the same. |

The hotel is a short walk from the city centre, in an amazing historical building. It's really a 'good old days' hotel, with very polite and professional staff. Don't forget to visit the common lounges along the corridors and the cloister, library, etc. |

The opportunity of staying in an historical venue really made it a special occassion. I enjoyed the traditional format of the hotel (basic rooms, but lots of common areas where you spent most of your time, like the piano bar for instance), as it gave the hotel a social and welcoming atmosphere. The service was fantastic, and the quality of food was excellent. The rooms are nice and comfortable, but not flashy. My room did not have a very nice view (it was overlooking a carpark). But that was not a big problem. Really, there was nothing I didn't like. |
