An outstanding location, but you must book a beach view room. Close to the old town for night time entertainment and across the walkway from the beach. Facilities were very good and staff very helpful. Highly recommended!! |

This classic old hotel is beginning to show signs of age but I believe that only adds to it's charm. Excellent location, friendly and efficient staff and balconies overlooking the beach made for a memorable stay. If you go try to get a room on the 5th floor overlooking the beach for fabulous views of San Sebastian's Playa de Concha, Christ on the hill and the old quarter. |

The view of the beach is spectacular. Walking to the restaurants/bars and various nearby shops is a great way to spend some quality time with family and friends. There is a cost to use the internet (should be complimentary) and the connection was SLOW. |

The location is wonderful---right on the beach with gorgeous views and within walking distance of LOTS of great restaurants. Very reasonably priced for the value! No bellman! Front desk staff was friendly but not overly helpful. Service is not Job #1 here. |

Greatest sea-view that I have ever experienced. In the room I sometimes felt it was noisy of the TV set in the next room at midnight, the wall may be thin because the hotel is a old building. I hoped I fall asleep hearing the sound from the sea.... |

Central location. Very high standard. Clean. Hard to find someone who could speak good english. They did not know much about traveling accomodations with Bayonne and Biaritz. Expensive breakfast. |

It was quiet, confortable, good looking. The welcome : wrong room given, then our room was not ready à 1:00pm.No indication about restaurant, breakfast place and time.Let say no welcome at all and no excuses. Then a mistake in the invoice. |

View was superb. Hotel very central. They advertise homemade chips but you get frozen chips. Normally not a problem but at over €5 a pop you´d like to get what was advertised. Carpet in corridors were down to the bare thread. I hoped in a double room I´d get a double bed and not 2 singles pushed together. This really vexes me! |

Location. Separated only by the boardwalk from the beach, and almost directly in the center of crescent. Both the cathedral and old town areas are less than 10 min by foot. This "grand dame" hotel is getting a bid threadbare. I read the rooms were renovated in the early 90's, but the decor and condition would suggest even longer ago. |

The value of the room was only for the beautiful view of the ocean.. however the carpet was really, really worn and stained, the fabric of the chairs was dirty , the furniture very worn and tired looking. If not for the view, I would have not stayed and spent 400 dollars a night. I would just warn guests that the hotel is tired looking but if you want a location right on the promenade and don't mind spending the euros/dollars, then I would recommend it. They also offer a very nice buffet breakfast. |

I did not like the lack of service spirit. We asked if we could keep a room for an extra our. The answer was a crude No, we are fully booked !by some mature woman in charge. That was sad, though, I know we got a good rate by internet 2*280= 580e a night, but treating customers like that?!!! |
