Room was nice, had a flat screen TV. Staff was friendly, 1 spoke english 1 did not. There is major construction that is going on outside on the paseo in the middle of the road. They were running bulldozers at 11-12pm. Very loud, bring earplugs! |

The hostal has a good location near the center, find stuff and medium-level commodities. Even in October they switch heating on. Water is hot. There is only one annoying thing: a light switcher mounted into the bed near heads. We used to turn on dozen times occasionally. |

Helpful and friendly staff who can speak good English. Free wifi. Good location. When I was there, construction work began on the road right in front of the hotel. Not much the hotel can do about this, and I was out most of the day so wasnt really affected by it. |

Good location, walking distance to the museum and interesting places like Sol Square (15 minutes) Unbearable noise (trafiic during the night and construction site since 6 AM) if you have room towards the street or stink from the restaurant if you have room to the air shaft |

The room was very modern, great tv, ac, tons of hot water. It was hard to find, no signing, only the name on the door bell. There was construction in the area too. |

The room was clean and the service was good. The location was excellent, right by the metro station and really close to all the city sights. It was a bit expensive for what we got. The rooms were set up apartment style and they were dark, drab and depressing. Also, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the hallways in the mornings. We've stayed at much nicer hotels in Spain for much cheaper. |

There where a lot of thing that I did not liked at the hotel. First the doors where not closing properly, not clean room, poor room service, no access to Internet even if you are dying and need the communication desperately. no possibility to use telephone for international calls, even though you have telephone in the room. So service was worse than poor. |

It was fair enough for the price paid. Comfortable, clean, WC was a bit small, but was ok. The room had only 2 electric plugs. |

Very good value for money, minibar, tv, aircon, pretty clean, staff knew some degree of english, enough to get along with though. the old windows are not isolating the noise good enough (only a problem for those with bad sleeping issues) |

The metro is very close to the hotel and is an easy commute to all the sites. If you are looking to be left alone the place is great, if you want to meet anyone - you are out of luck. The price is great, so can´t complain. there is no common room in the hotel, so we never met any other travelers. It is billed as a hostal, but functions as a hotel for what seemed like business travelers. The place is nowhere near any of the sites |

It was clean, central, quiet and convenient to cafes and the dance theatre. The staff were unobtrusive but very helpful when asked for assistance. It suited my purpose fine. |

Close to metro station, bathroom was clean enough Loud, unable to sleep because of the noise! The windows don't close well letting in 24 hour road noise and pedestrian noise! Because the windows didn't close well I didn't feel my belongings were safe in the room. Horrible stay. Furniture was rotten with holes, this was not worth the budget price |

Its rather near the center of Madrid. Aircondition, wifi, no noice in the night, friendly staff. Not so easy to find for the first time, the hotel is on the second floor of a building only, there is just small sign, but nothing on the bells at the door from the street. Not breakfest, but there are couple of places just around the corner to get some coffee and cake. |

A simple, but nice hostel/budget hotel. Very central, less than 100 m from the metro stop Alonso Martínez. 10-15 min. walk from Gran Via / Puerta del Sol, meaning close to the center but still far enough away from that tourist trap. |

Excellent location, just minutes from Metro. Walking distance to many attractions. Nice diner (Santa Barbara) downstairs, Burger King, grocer and bakery round the corner. Bit noisy as it is low level and street noise is audible. Air con wasn't working when we were there, but wasn't needed then. |

The room is pretty spacious with fresh air. The metro Alfonso Martinez is just 300 m by walk with some fast food restaurants downstairs. The Wifi is not quite accessible from other corner of the hotel. I had to open up my door to gain access to the WIFI. |

Very nice and cozy hotel with beautiful rooms, especially those with three beds. Rooms are very charming, as they feature wooden wall coverings (however, you can hear the guests in other rooms fairly well). Good location next to an underground station with three lines and some bus lines. Windows absorbe almost all noise from the St. Barbara street. Receptionist spoke English fairly well. Sound insulation between the rooms is weak. However, this is not a no-go at all (same issue in virtually every hotel). |
