the personal was really helpful and polite and also able to speak English, In Spain many people speak only Spanish and not any other languages. I will improve my Spanish and next time in Madrid I will speak only Spanish |

Located in a side street of Gran Via. We had a terrible view in our room. The only thing you saw when looking out the window was a very close and big ugly wall. The radio was working only sometimes, and other times, when it was turned off, you could still hear it playing softly. |

The reception staff was always freindly and helpful. The lounge area was always kept clean. I have to agree that walls are thin as I read in other reviews. The hotel is centrally located to so many sites of Madrid. We enjoyed our stay. |

Very good location of this hotel makes it very convinient to visit all important turistic destination. Room was quiet but dark since our windov was looking into extremly small courtyard.There was some noice coming to our room froom time to time(elevator maschinery?) and sounds from bathroom of the room next to our'' |

The location is very good: not far from metro and gran via street, but on very quiet street. We walked to the center in 10 minutes. The wireless internet was very convenient for us. No iron and tea-kettle in the room. |

Good, central location, breakfast(when included) served at room with no extra charges, internet acess relatively cheap - 1 Euro/30min (coins in the PC...???!!!) No response to previous email regarding airport shuttle. Had to call the hotel from the airport to discover that it has to be solicited at third-party company's (AirCity) booth in T2. Public telephones in Spain may "swallow" your coins and do not give change. |

The hotel was affordable and it's location was very central. The room was basic and very clean. There was only one English channel on the tv (BBC world news). I would have preferred 1 or 2 more options. |

Room and bathroom were clean Room too small. Not enough staff to deal with guests. Nobody helped with luggage when I arrived and the entrance has stairs. Asked to book a shuttle to the airport, but the recepcionist forgot and I had to pay a taxi, three times more expensive. |

Typical European breakfast included in the price was plentiful and allowed us to skip lunch. Hotel is very convenient to shopping, 10 min walk to major sightseeing, 2 min walk to Madrid Hop on, Hop off bus stop. Great value for the money! The only thing we did not like was the mattress. It was very hard, after a 8-10 hour day walking/sightseeing it was difficult to relax in bed. |

Nice room. Good towels. Reasonable price for quality. Quiet environment. In the city centre. Easily reachable. Some strange, but acceptable, background noise from outside. Although my room was non-smoking I could smell some cigarette smoke, perhaps from the neighbouring room. |

Location was very good and staff was friendly and provided good local directions. No free internet, there is a for pay internet machine in the lobby but hotels costing much less money now provide free internet computer in the lobby and so should this hotel. Also , bathroom is a bit cramped. |
