We booked the Carlton on the readers reviews and were not disappointed Should I go back to Madrid or anywhere else where there is an hotel in this group I would book it. Ther is nothing reallyto complain about . The hotel web site gave directions on the metro from the airport. but onece you got to the rquired stop there was no further information we had to ask a passerby. Same would apply from Atocha railway station |

La chica de recepcion, bastante simpatica. La habitacion demasiado pequena, agobiante y daba a un patio interior lugubre que impedia tener un minimo de intimidad si corrias la cortina. La calefaccion estaba demasiado alta y no se podia regular desde la habitacion. Muchisimo ruido debido a la pesima insonorizacion de las habitaciones (me pase toda una noche escuchando la television de la habitacion contigua). |

As a train traveller ,the Carlton hotel suits me because it is next to Atocha railway Station.The hotel is a useful location to visit museums.It is only 2 underground stations away from Puerta del Sol (city centre)The buffet breakfast cannot be faulted. I did not see a public lounge where one could receive friends or view a different TV channel to the one being watched by one's partner in our room !!! |

It is situated in a very good place (not far from the center) and the breakfast was full of meat. Our room was close to the lift and it was really noisy. There was also noise coming from the neighbour rooms (mainly from the bathroom). |

Good location near to Atocha railway station and beside most important galleries. Near to center of Madrid and near metro station. Good sized bedroom, large screen tv and jacuzzi bath make stay here very comfortable. |

I loved the hospitality shown at reception. And the warm pleasantness of all your staff. the only thing I missed was a nice cup of tea in the room in the morning. A kettle and cups +tea/coffee/milk and sugar would have been the icing on the cake. otherwise no complaints whatsoever |

The room was very nice, modern & clean. A little traffic noise but not too much. So close to the railway station & many touristy places in walking distance. A little confusion at check out time re credit card having been "consultated". |

Spacious room,bathroom recently refurbished, eveything was in good working order and there was tea & coffee making facilities & a mini bar Key card was deactivated a day to soon, the man behind the desk checked our status and redid the cards......but never said sorry |

The hotel is in an excellent location for visiting all the city centre tourist attractions - we walked everywhere but hotel is on bus routes and near metro for those less mobile. Not on a main road so not too noisy at night. Room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Excellent buffet breakfast. Out of season internet rate was very good value. Would stay here again. |

The hotel was clean and comfortable and really well presented. The location was excellent and within walking distance of the Sol. It was well serviced also by the Metro. Lovely hotel can't fault it or the staff. |

Good location, friendly staff and good facilities. We ordered a pot of tea for two at the bar whilst we watched the football and weren't even charged for it. If this wasn't an oversight then it's excellent customer service as tea/coffee costs next to nothing to supply, but supplying it free appears to show great largesse. It looks quite mercenary to be charging 2 Euros a day to use a valuables safe, especially when most of the hotels we stayed in offered it for nothing. Internet access charges are high, again when you consider it's now the norm for most hotel groups and cafes to offer it free. |

Excellent location, especially for the art galleries. Spacious, clean room with nice bathroom. 2 single beds put together to make a double. No tea/coffee maker in room. Thin walls. |
