Catalonia Las Cortes

Mooie, uitstekend gelegen pand, zeer aangename, smaakvolle ingerichte kamers. Voor het centrum van Madrid (wat in het weekend nooit rustig is, nergens) is het vrij rustig en met dubbele beglazing.

Heel centraal gelegen maar in een rustige straat in een gezellig buurtje. Leuke terrasjes en eettentjes in de buurt, de grote musea op loopafstand en toch erg rustig. Goede bedden en geen gehorigheid intern. Sfeervolle inrichting. Behulpzaam personeel.

Het ontbijt vonden we te duur, we konden in de nabije omgeving beter terecht.

Mooie, smaakvol ingerichte kamer, uitstekend sanitair. Heel rustig. Goed functionerend draadloos internet. Ontbijtbuffet zeer uitgebreid (wel iets duurder dan bij naburige horecagelegenheden).

Myself and a friend booked this hotel at the last minute (so we paid a little bit over the odds). It's a great hotel, I would say it meets it's 4 star rating. The facilities were good, the room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was larger than most including both a very large shower and seperate bath. The staff spoke very good english and were very helpful when we needed advice or directions. The location is very central, only a few minutes walk from the main central attractions.

I would say that the hotel was a little hard to find but that was because we were walking from the metro, we had printed out a map on googlemaps but it wasn't very clear. I would just bring the address and ask people for directions on the street.

The staff was very friendly, helpful. We arrived Madrid in the morning, so it was no objections from hotel staff for early check-in. Rooms were comfortable, elegantly designed, clean. Location of the hotel is very convinient, easy to find, close to seesights. We like this hotel very much!!!

The location was absolutely perfect. The hotel was clean and the bathroom facilities were very good. The staff was helpful as well. We walked to the Prado in one direction and the Palace in the other. (Be sure to opt for the audio guides. They were worth the extra cost.) Plaza Santa Anna is wonderful and just one short block away. We chose not to pay the extra euros for the breakfast. Lateral on the square was a good choice for tapas and friendly service.

The biggest negative for us was that the beds were extremely hard. This might be fine for some people, but we do not like beds that have no give.

Excellent location, a block from Plaza Santa Ana where there are good tapa restaurants. Walking distance to most tourist attractions in Madrid. Good size room and updated, very nice bathroom. Hotel atmosphere was cozy and staff are very helpful.

Careless noise made by cleaning staff all heard inside room especially in the morning. However this is minor and did not affect our enjoyment of hotel stay

The spaciousness of the room, with great storage and a huge shower; the speedy wi-fi.

Often surly staff. We were sometimes scowled at by front desk staff. When I came to breakfast at 10 a.m., the waitstaff made it clear they wanted me out, noisily clearing tables, and once even closing the door behind me as I left. The showerhead was broken, robes didn't appear until our 3rd day in the room, the A/C was weak and the room got stuffy.

Location is good. The space is big. The breakfeast is good.

I arrived the hotal at 10:30pm with two luggages. The porter saw me dropped off the taxi but no action to help me. After I checked in, the porter was still no action to help to bring the luggages to the room. The TV is too small.

As we were only staying 4 nights in central Madrid, we needed a hotel that was close to good cafes, museums and bustling city life and yet very quiet. Catalonia Las Cortes was all these things.

We love absolutey everything about this hotel. The ladies at the front desk are very helpful, the rooms are spacious, clean, beautiful, and clean, and the bathroom is fabulous with the best shower in the whole world. The location is perfect too.
