This is really a business hotel and is not for tourists who want to experience a sense of madrid life as the hotel is surrounded by business and there is not much around the area in regards to retaurants and bars. Although after 12pm there are about 4 strip joints surrounding the hotel. Other than that the hotel is comfortable. Don't ask for a drink after 12pm or you will be greeted with a turse remark about a mini bar in the room. This I feel is a bit much for a four star hotel. |

That it was close to the Prado. This hotel needs to be revamped! The staff was unbelievably rude! The first day we were there I told them the air condition in our room was not working I was told "that the air was working just fine in all the rooms!" on the second day my mother went down and talked to them and they told her someone would be up to look at it. But no one ever came up to look at our AC! That same day my mother asked if there was a bar in the hotel so she could go smoke in there. The response of the man in reception was "The street is the only place to smoke!!!" Unbelievable! Especially in a country that practically allows smoking everywhere! To have a person on staff that would speak to a 69 year old woman like that! |

Proximity to main transport routes & subway. Very close to the Business School I was attending. Although there was a busy street close, sound insulation was very good. Also staff was helpful. I was initially given a smokers room, but upon complaining about it, they exchanged it to a non-smoking room immediately. The cleaning staff seems to have some problems collecting the room service trays that other guests left at their doorsteps. There was one particular tray that was left for two days on the hall, near my room. |

Although the hotel is considered to be far from the center of Madrid, metro and bus stations are available next to the hotel and it is cheap. Hotel staff were so helpful. -Hotel is far from the touristic areas of Madrid. Hotel staff didn't inform us that the hotel is offering Free breakfast during March. Also the beds were not comfortable at all, we couldn't sleep well. |
