The staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly. It was a great value for the money and I would definitely stay there again. The free Wi-Fi was a big plus for me as I conducted business. I would like to have a coffee maker in the room. It is something we take for granted in the US and would be welcome in the Gran Hotel Colon America building. |

The hotel is situated in a very quiet street, ther room was confortable and big enought for a couple with a few luggage, and it was close to the subway. The breakfast could be better |

We stayed there for a weekend. The location is very convenience,15 mins by bus to city Centre.Rooms nice, clean, modern. Staff not so helpful,We booked double room and when we arrived to hotel we got twin room -no option to change ,second night we got the double but smoking room which was very annoying. |

big beds, quiet rooms, access to cafeteria Inability to open the windows and one night there were interruptions in electricity for which no compensation was offered. It was very disruptive as the air con kept switching on and off through the night. |

Excellent value, decent room with great shower. The night porter was a great guy. Could have spoken to him for hours. We knew it was not quite central but taxis both nights only €10 and right on the metro and park. There are two blocks, got a little lost looking for second block but really no problem at all. |

We stayed in the 2nd newer building which was very nice--modern & clean for a very good rate. The staff were very helpful. The location was not ideal for touring although there was a bus line and metro stop very close. Taxis were expensive. So going back to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing before dinner was very hard. There were only two decent restaurants near the hotel and a cafeteria but they made up for the overpriced, mediocre food at the hotel. |

The hotel was clean, the staff accommodating. Easy access to the metro. The beds were very hard. No response when we requested (three times over three days) about the tv not working. |

A bright modern hotel with good staff service. They do have free bottled water in the fridge but could benefit from having tea/coffeemaking facilities and an inroom iron. |

The aspect of the room. Reception Staff were unable to provide maps and clear directions when requested. These staff were unable to speak clear english when engaged. Our brochure lead us to believe we were located in the centre of the capital and this was not the case. |

Central location, Near to Cafes and bars, Close to Public Transport, Quiet surroundings and Privacy to come and go without hinderance. The price of drinks at the bar was too expensive and discouraged us from having a few more at night. |

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was clean and quiet and the room has very nice bathroom. The location is good for those who don’t care to take subway or bus (10min) to the city center. |

Proximity of the Hotel to the Metro Service - very poor. I also have a complaint (separate message to the hotel). Also felt like a 2nd class citizen as hotel is in 2 parts. |

This is a very confortable hotel, close to Sanz de Baranda metro station. 20 minutes from atocha station and from downtown. There was a problem with my reservation when I arrived and they gave me a double bed in a smoking room, although I had specifically requested a twin no smoking room. They changed the room the next day and gave us one free breakfast as reparation. |
