We toured Madrid, Toledo & El Escorial for 7 days. We would prefer a buffet breakfast, even an addition of cheese & vegetables would do. |

The calm, efficent atmosphere. The great reception team who were welcoming and very helpful. The central location which made exploring Madrid really easy. The breakfast was a bit average and the coffee was not good. |

Good location - ideal for short term visitors to access Madrid's places of interest. Close to metro and city tour bus stations. Room allocated was close to lift and extremely noisy. We were eventually moved and this was a great improvement. The renovated rooms on the upper levels of the hotel are of a far better quality; having requested one of these we were disappointed to be accommodated in the old section. Breakfast basic. Communication a problem. |

Perfect location for Madrid tourism, nice setting of rooms, interesting design of furniture and bathroom facilities, clean, good service and nice people at the reception desk, speak English, reliable services. We had very cheap offer for a triple, unusual not only in Madrid... We understand the lack of air condition allowed the price. However, summer night in Madrid with no air condition and open windows has been a challenge... |

Room was lovely, modern and spacious on second floor. Large bathroom but shower is small and cramped, though new. Location is good and central. Staff not particularly friendly, somewhat curt. There are many stairs to negotiate. Elevator doesn't go to all floors. No one offered to help with luggage. Desk clerk finally carried two bags up 5 stairs and dropped them at my door. There was AC in the room but not connected because apparently I paid for a Standard room. Wasn't told there was a choice. Ask! There was a fan but you can'tt breathe in Madrid when it is 40 C!! No internet inconvenient. Breakfast basic, pastry and cereal, fake juice. No information about the hotel in the room, no remote for TV. Nearby metros do not have elevators so if you have luggage, the trip to the airport is long and arduous. Taxi will cost 35 euros. |

The hotel is in main pedestrian street and everything is very very close by. Two main metro knots are just 1 min walk. The room is perfectly clean. The rooms are with an air condition. We recommend this hotel as very good value/money. Did not have internet at all. The beds are on wheels, and there is no carpet in the room, so the beds are moving apart. The breakfast is modest. The elevator only stops at 0,1,4th floor, rest you need to go by stairs. On the 5th floor are renovated rooms, rest are old fashioned once. The Madrid is very lively city and if your room faces street you might have sleeping difficulties. |

The hotel location was excellent for easy access to shops, restaurants and the metro. The rooms were modern and stylish and the hotel is being refurbished to bring it up to modern day standards. The breakfast would have been improved by having some cheese and a meat selection. It was a little noisy at night from people outside. |

Location is great, right in the heart of the city. 7 mins walk from both Opera and Sol metro stations. Good breakfast. Except for the rooms on the 5th floor which are renovated and new all the other are really old and very very small. It was a horrible experience as the bathroom and the toilets very so small. The photos of the rooms on booking.com are the ones of the rooms in the 5th floor. Be extra careful while you book your room. |

The staff was friendly and the location of the hotel is very good, in a centric area. My bedroom was very old and hot. Although it had air conditioning, it didn't work properly. The window was too small and looked at an old and tiny patio. There was not enough air. |

A warm welcome despite a late evening arrival, and shown to a pleasant room. Great breakfast room at top of hotel. |

The room was very well designed and spacious with a nice bathroom and comfortable beds. It is located right in the heart of Madrid on a car- free street filled with shops Breakfast started too late (7:30) for us to take advantage of it and it was supposed to be included in the price. They did not offer to discount it (we had to leave at 7). If you're travelling and need to get out to the aiport, bus station or renfe that is not very convenient. Also we found no neighboring cafés open at that hour. |

The room that we were in was lovely, it was in the newly renovated section of the hotel and was very nicely fitted out and the bathroom and room had attractive decoration. It was also in a very good location for my purposes. The breakfast facilities and provided choices were very limited and the cutlery and flatware was old and needed replacing. Also the access facilities were difficult to negotiate, ie the stairs and lift situation was old and outdated. |

-Very good location, really in the heart of Madrid and close to the the most central metro station ,SOL.Opera station is also very close. The breakfast was not very rich but in general it was good.I Think that is Hotel Francisco is a good choise, considering the value for money criteria. The room was a bit small for three persons!Actually it was a double room with one extra bed, but it was not such a big problem. |

Easy access to the city and tourist attractions. IT is on a busy street so be prepared for noise 24 hours a day. This is non stop party town. |
