the location, clean and big bathroom when i was waiting at the reception, while there were other two groups waiting for check-in, the reception lady was just tooo busy with her cell and didn't even want to look at us. |

this hotel was good value for money. it was very central to shopping an bars and restaurants. we had no problems and it is so close to metro. They could do with tea an coffee making facilities in the room |

I loved this hotel, the location was brilliant, just a few minutes walk to the city centre & less than 5 minutes walk from the metro, the staff were lovely & very helpful, they gave us maps & explained how to get to certain sites. The rooms were clean & comfortable & always tidied while we were out. |

I liked the location and being close to Plaza Mayor. The staff were also friendly and helpful. The room was a bit noisy. I could hear my neighbors and the bed was not very comfortable. |

It was a wonderfully friendly, clean and safe hotel in a neighborhood. It was very close to an easy Metro stop. The room was perfect - modern, clean and well lit for night reading. The area is full of little stores, cafes and a supermarket making a budget meal quite easy and pleasant. I recommend for a solo traveler too. |

Spending 3 nights at the Ganivet - our first time in Madrid - we found the location excellent and appreciated the ATM, fruit and grocery stores being close by. The only slight criticsm we had was that the soundproofing was inferior.. we could hear one neighbour's continual snoring, and the other when he/she flushed the loo during the night. |

Great location. Five blocks away from the Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Two great places to party at night. The facilities are a lot better than I expected. This is not the typical 3 starts hotel. Think of it as a 4 to 5 stars one. The prices was ridiculous, compared to the benefits. I would definitively recommend this one. The clerk who checked us out was an effin' moron. It was 8 am and he was already cranky. Other than that the rest of the staff was great. |

I liked the position, near the metro station and in the historical center of Madrid, with a lot of locations to eat nearby, the room was big enough, clean, nice looking, with LCD tv, clean bathroom, good and efficient AC. There were no double beds, only two beds put together and also the beds have wheels and they move a lot easy creating a gap between them during the night. Also they don't have a minibar, where you can store a beer or a cola. |

The hotel location was great. It was 2 minutes away from a metro station. It was a 10 minute walk to Puertas Del Sol. The room wasn't sound proof. We stayed on the 1st floor, and we could hear all the sounds form the nearby busy street (people talking, traffic, etc...). Also, the cleaning staff made lots of noise. More than once we were awaken by the cleaning ladies chit-chat at 8 am. |

no any. One day, I cannot open the door by the card key, and I tell reception so. In fact, it is their mistake, but there are no excuse. And when you see the map, even you feel the hotel is near by the metro station, there are very hard uphill slope. And because their wall and floor is very very thin, so whenever you can hear shower sound from around room. |
