I thought the hotel was a good choice, it had just been redone and everything was very modern and fresh. The location was right off Puerto de Sol so it was a bit noisy at night when one was trying to sleep. |

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Only disadvantage was breakfast was not served on site but in a cafe round the corner. In ideal location right off the Puerta del Sol and metro. I would certainly consider staying here again. |

Location was good. Hotelroom was very clean and design was nice. Hotel was very noisy. Hotelstaff spoke up loud in the mornings, and the walls and doors apprently very thin... Furthermore, there was no view out of the smal window, which was secluded in the back of the room. We did not try the breakfast, since breakfasttime was only untill 10.30, and well... we had some good nights out in Madrid :) |

This hostal is located perfectly if you are looking for city tour of Madrid. The room was clean and staff was friendly. Some people cannot like bathroom behind glass wall in the room and breakfast which is not served in the hostal but in very close located bar. |

Very central location. Rooms were clean. we chose it because of location and importantly because it was smoke-free and pet-free the room i had the first night was facing the street, the noise kept me awake most of the night. we were able to change to an 'interior' room the next night or I would not have had any sleep for 3 nights! Entrance rather unprepossessing. The stairwell leading up to hotel had a bad smell. street outside not very clean. Hotel itself was clean and fresh. |

Cleanliness of the room was second to none. Excellent location near restaurants, bars, shopping, metro etc. Would definitely stay here again. Hot water (in shower) was not as hot as it could be. |

Central location and beautiful room and bathroom. Staff were superb. Our room was to the front of the Hostal and the street was very noisy especially at about 3.00 am, as people went home from restaurants etc and again at about 6.00am as the refuse cleaners and supply vehicles arrived. We asked for a move to a quieter room but none was available. If the room could be made more soundproof or we could be guaranteed a quiet room at the rear of the Hostal I would be happy to stay there again. The breakfast in a local restaurant was quite limited in its choice of dishes. |

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful Would have liked clearer instructions to find reception, all hotel is on second floor, fine once you find it. |

Decor and cleanliness were very good We did not recieve a discount for not utilizing the breakfast on the last day. We had to leave before the breakfast started. We did not like having two single beds pushed together, a queen or king would have been better. |

It's in the centre of the city, means nearly no tranport needed to go for shopping, interesting places as tourists etc. No lobby/reception downstair which might needed if you have to wait for a taxi. For breakfast you need to go outside about 5 mins.walking,no internet connection in the room. Eventhough locations quite centre, but people going to stay in this hotel have to be prepare about the conditions of the area which is rather poor & not comfortable feeling. |

Beautiful accom right in centre of great nightlife area. Brilliant showers and really generous size rooms with minimal design and balcony. Breakfast served in little cafe around the corner a nice touch too. The only minus is the really loud noise from the street all night, but this is unavoidable due to central location |

The location, the original design, the good beds, the breakfast in a bar around the corner, the rate and the quiet spot (no noise from the bustling city around). You can hear everything from your neighbors and from the corridor. The heavy doors are useless because they lack proper rubber joints, a pity! Bring your earplugs. |

Some of the rooms are very poor, shower not working, wifi not working in rooms. So called breakfast is in nearby cafe- one coffee , one toast with butter & Jam or pate. If you want eggs, will charge you Euro 3. Bad experience, will never try it again. |

The hotel looks fantastic, location is excellent, and our room wasn't noisy at all. Liked the traditional breakfast at the nearby bistro. The bathroom was too small, and the toilet provided no privacy (e.g. thin, glass walls). |

Well located, clean, friendly personel But... My room was located near the recepcion desk (the hotel actually occupies a floor in an appartment building) and was VERY noisy. Every time a guest rang at the main door of the building I could hear the bell, voices, doors closing... Impossible to sleep before very late... The sound proofing of the rooms has to be improved ! probably better in other rooms further away from the reception desk. |

Good simple design. Functional. Very good location. Excellent sound proofing. Easy to clean, contemporary materials used. Nice shower Found an (unused) condom in the bin in the bathroom when we first arrived at the hotel - so cleaning, while very good elsewhere, was not as thorough as we would have liked. ALso, having to buzz for the door downstairs and at the 2nd floor entrance meant that we sometimes had to wait. Reception staff not as knowledgeable as could have been. Shower temperature constantly went from hot to cold. |
