The cleanliness of the room - cleaned each day -towels etc changed. As other guests have commented - not very easy to find initially -but fine afterwards. |

Jimmy, the manager, was really helpful. Location was excellent, only 4 mins walk to Placa del Sol and the metro. Great value for money. Room a bit dark, looking into an internal courtyard.; even though we asked for a room overlooking the street in your requests section. Most hotels take no notice of these requests. Reading lights not good. |

Very friendly and helpful proprioter. Room at the back of hostal was extremely quiet despite being in a busy street. Location was excellent, everything within walking distance and close to many lively plazas for eating in the evenings. The sign needs to be bigger so that is is easier to find as the hostal is on the third floor and not signed at street level. |

Clean, comfortable and convenient to central Madrid and the major art galleries. Accommodating when I missed my flight. And largely friendly and helpful. Inconsistency of information/some service - 1. Access to refrigerator and cold water . One staff member indicated to help yourself. The owner firmly and for me embarrassingly told us that we could not access these things ourselves; 2. Internet: On asking about internet access [the reason for choosing this hostal] the first staff member I asked said she didn't know anything about it. Shortly after I asked a second staff member who immediately produced instructions; 3. Pillows. We were moved rooms and I asked for a second pillow as there was only one to share between two. The staff member refused. I had to become cross and then she rang someone and then got me a second pillow. |

The hotel is near the main points of the city as well is near to the subway station. The manager is also a very friendly person. I think that it is necessary to have frigobars in the rooms since there is no offering of services / meals in the hotel at night. |

Perfect location, controlled access, clean, good size room for the three of us, 5-15 minute walk to all the main sites…great value for your money!! I would definitely stay here again. The couple running the hostel were extremely nice and accommodating. The outside looks a little shady and the elevator is about 200 years old, but once you get inside, it’s surprisingly a clean, safe and quiet hostel. Don’t judge a book by its cover! |

Very willing staff giving you proposals on where to go. Decently clean room and bathroom. Small room, small bathroom, poor sound insulation, very thin door, room located directly behind the reception gave no sense of privacy |

Great location, incredibly clean, large and comfortable triple room. Even though we faced onto a busy street with a balcony, the windows kept the noise out, so we slept soundly. The room was incredibly quiet and the place was very secure. Jimmy at the front desk was very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. |

Excellent shower with hot water and great pressure. Room was clean and maintained, close to everything in Madrid and major Metro stop. Staff was very friendly and spoke English. TV worked too! We had a triple which consisted of a single bed and a double bed. My friend and I shared the double bed as well as the one long body pillow they provided us. Two pillows would have been nice! |

The friendly owner and staff, the cleanliness, the central location. A simple pension, however, you really get good value for your money. Nothing negative! It was a nice place to stay. I highly recommend it. |

Location was excellent. Close to the places we wanted to visit. Close to the train station and to the Prado museum as well dowtown. The girl at the front desk was so helpful, kind and friendly, don't remember her name, but remember she was from Moldavia. The bathroom was a little bit too small. |

The location of the hostal is very central and all major attractions are in walking range or easily accessible by bus/metro. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, although the bathroom was a little small (but with all the neccessary equipment. The hotel staff was very kind and helpfull and there was no problem with the English language. |

The location was great! You could walk to most city sights within about 10-15 minutes. The airport is about a 45 minute metro ride away, which only cost 2 Euros. The room was clean and the staff was very nice, even when we woke the owner up at 6am to check out. Not that I didn't like it, but it is a simple place so do not expect much beyond the basics. |
