The staff are friendly and were available from early morning until at least midnight. The rooms are small but simple and well cleaned every day. I intend to book another weekend. The floors are tiled and the walls are somewhat thin so there can be quite a bit of noise at night. |

Perfectly suitable for someone who is looking for a 'no frills' experience, but want s a central location at an extremely reasonable price. Staff pleasant and helpful, rooms quiet and clean. No views, some rooms completely internal. My TV remote contraol literally fell apart in my hands. Perhpas could do with a bit more attention to such things as these little things add to make a big impression. |

There is in the city centre very close to everything. The stuff is nice and helpful. There is not enough space for the suitcases and clothes in the room, therefore I recommend this hotel only few days to stay. And the parking close to hotel is too expensive. (24€/day) |

There was a lift up to the floor and I had a set of three keys for the room, hostal and main door. Staff were helpful with information about my plans for the stay. The street it was in was a bit offputting for a lone female traveller - didnt know enough about Madrid to know if it was a safe area to be in. Had to press the button for the hotel and wait for an answer. Then inside was a hallway with apartments - was gloomy and scruffy looking. Then had to find my way up to the third floor for the Hostla. Was more expensive than the Hostal Continental where I stayed eight days later - that was in a better location and had more facilities in the room, ie hair drier and small bath. The room at the La Vera was smarter but I preferred to feel safe. |

Very central located in the heart of Madrid. Therefor all attractions can easily be visited by foot or by metro (station is within 100 m). The room was clean but only superficially dusted. Contrary to what the description said there is NO breakfast! You get a voucher for a coffee in a cafe around the corner, but that opens only afet 12:00 AM. So if you expect a breakfast, it's a rip-off!! |

the hostel is exactly in the centre of Madrid, two minutes walking from the metro station. the walls are not soundproof. it's quite easy to follow the conversation of the neighbours even if you don't want to... and i stayed in a single room without any natural light. if i knew that, i wouldn't choose this hostel. |

There was no internet. There is no cafe in the building it's a fwe minute walk away. The beds were horrible...you could feel the springs in your legs and back and everywhere else. It was terribly loud the entire night and I got very little sleep either night I was there. |

very close to metro station & just 10 minutes away from atocha train station. the room is also very clean, and bathroom is well maintained. owner also very friendly. the reason we stayed there was as a stop over, prior taking the train the next morning to andalucia |
