Clean, excellent location. The only reason we booked this place is because they offered free wifi in all rooms. Not once in 3 days did it work. Their staff could not get the wifi to work or show us how to do it. We were promised that by day 2 it would be working and then we tried to cut short our stay and move to another hotel and they threatened to charge us for the 3rd night. Unprofessional staff. Wasted countless hours of my weekend looking for places to get online so I could work. |

Good lcation near Plaza Real The door of the (mini) lift did not open; there is a strange smell in the hotel (desinfectant?); I could not get the wireless to work (although there is a free internet corner) |

Clean room and well kept and up to date bathroom. Very good location as well. Noises of other guests (stumbling around, flushing toilets,...) and some outside installation pipes could be easily heard. The little TV had only a poor reception of Spanish channels of questionable quality. |

It is an ok budget hotel, but one has to be ready for that it is indeed budget and has only the facilities one can expect for the low price. Having said that, it's clean (I'm especially fussy about bathrooms, but in Las Fuentes they were really clean) and the location is perfect. Rooms are incredibly small. One of the receptionists (the guy with moustache) is really not cool, and unfortunately, he was on service most of my stay. Cleaning of the rooms is until 11am, and if you happen to be asleep by that time, they will wake you up and insist that at least towels must be changed instantly. Once, I tried to ignore such their request, so the receptionist with moustache simply unlocked the door with his card and was about to enter my room until I told him to get lost... Also, be aware that although they do have WiFi, they could not help me connect my Mac to it. If not for the service, I would stay there again.. |

Location and cleanliness. External rooms had some street noise, but to be expected in Madrid on a Puente! |

Location is just perfect and the street is quiet. My single-bed bedroom was indeed tiny, but clean and functional. |

excellent location, cleaness of the rooms, friendly and helpful staff, on the whole a good budget hotel for a short stay. since there's no breakfast at the hotel I think there should be at least complementary tea/coffee makers in the rooms |

Location is just perfect, in a quiet street and at the center of the action in Madrid (Opera, Plaza Mayor, San Miguel market...). I stayed in two rooms, first a single room that was tiny, and then a double room with my wife that was perfect. |

Very good location! Friendly staff. Internet use really helped. Small so don't expect to spend a lot of time in your room! |

Very clean and nicely decorated with nice bathrooms. Location is great, very close to the Royal Palace and a 5 minute walk to Puerto del Sol. Staff are helpful. This has been my 4th stay at the Hostal Las Fuentes and I don't have any complaints. North Americans might fine rooms a little on the small side but this is, I believe, normal in Europe. |

It was near the Metro, easy access to Galleries, a lot of small restaurants around and very good value for money. It was difficult to find., The plane was very delayed not arriving till 3am the taxi driver could not find the Hostal and charged us 55euros. Could there be some other instructions on the card to say how to find the the Hostal!? |

I liked the excellent location in the centre close to all the major sites traffic free and very quiet safe for solo females all kinds of eating places from fast food to tipical Spanish and vegearian on the doorstep Would have been better if the hotel had a sofa or a couple of comfortable chairs in the area by the coffee machine. Sometimes one needs a quiet place to sit |

Excellent location and cleanliness. Single room is the smallest room in the history of tourism but all you need to sleep and shower. |
