Location was excellent, large clean room. Convenient for walking in downtown Madrid The internet had problems and also didnt work in my room. They seemed to be concerned and were trying to improve the range. |

The location is very good. The room was clean. The rooms and the public space are well decorated with the flowers and the painings. Friendly and helpful staff. the bath and the bed room was small |

Clean comfortable accommodation in easy reach on foot of Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor.Good Metro link right outside and super breakfast bar opposite. Will only get better when improvements to Plaza Isabel complete BUT it caused no real problem |

The rooms were very clean and secure. The staff was helpful, although not bi-lingual. The location was excellent. The shower was very, very small. |

excellent location Even though I had called ten days before arrival to make sure everything was clear about our reservation, they had kept a double room instead of a twin room for us. They did in the end accomodate my friend and I in two single rooms, but we had to insist. The hotel is ok, but I'm not so sure it deserves three-star, mor eliek a good two-star feel to me. But it's spotless, locatio is unbeatable, inside rooms are quiet, comfortable enough, and the staff is nice. |

It is very near to the metro station Opera. In additon, it is within walking distance to Puerta del Sol. The reception is on floor 1 and hence you need to take a lift to get to the reception from the ground floor. |

The staff were helpful. They didn't speak English, but made a good effort to understand our fractured Spanish. We had a second floor room overlooking the street. Both nights (Wednesday and Thursday), the whooping and yelling from Calle del Arenal continued until two in the morning and then began again around 6 AM. The AC had been shut down for the fall, even though the room was still quite warm. But with all the noise, we couldn't open the window to take advantage of the cool night air. Even with the windows closed, it was impossible to sleep without earplugs. |

Great location right off Metro Opera (look up when exiting station and see the hotel sign right in front) and on a pedestrianised street with many shops and fast-food outlets, and El Corte Inglés (with its supermarket) nearby. Not all staff speak English, but they are friendly and eager to help. Free WiFi in room works great for me. Room was small but very clean and adequately furnished. (But be careful when using the in-room safe, cuz every time you open it, you have to put in another 1 Euro coin to lock it again.) Overall, the best value I had had in my month-long travel around Spain. Very thin walls, could hear everything from loud neighbouring guests. Occasional sewage smell from the toilet located just down the corridor was unpleasant. |

Really well located, upstairs one floor above a pedestrian-only street in central Madrid, with easy access to the Metro. In fact you can get from here to the airport easily by Metro, very cheaply, although you do have to change lines twice. From the Oriente we were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit, e.g. only 20 minutes' walk to the Prado. No breakfast provided, but a nice cafe right across the street opens early & has great coffee. Hotel staff don't speak English. Not fancy, good value for money, and well located. Hotel staff don't speak English, but do appear friendly, and we somehow managed to communicate OK. |

The location of the hotel was excellent, withe the Opera metro stop just steps away. The elevator was appreciated to access our 3d level up room. There was a lot of street noise until the wee hours, especially on our arrival night, a Friday. |

The location was excellent, nice bright room with small balcony and view up Arenal and across to the Opera House. Only a few minutes walk to the main tourist sights - Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, Puerto del Sol etc. There was major building work going on at Plaza Isabel and that precluded our customary post-lunch siesta. Also a bit noisy in the small hours - double glazing would have cut out the noise of both the revellers and builders. |
