I have been traveling to Madrid for some years and, unless they are full, I always stay at Jardin de Recoletos. The staff are always friendly and polite, the rooms with their kitchenette en-suite are a good size and quiet, the garden is lovely for dinner in the summer and the location is great for any reason to be visiting Madrid. |

Excellent location. Courteous staff. Very quiet rooms. Although it was autumn, some days were warm but there was no option to switch on the air conditioning. It was either heating or nothing. I find that strange in a hotel of this standard. |

Really helpful staff. Very efficient and attentive to needs of guests. Great breakfast. The location is very good, just far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle but in comfortable walking distance to most things. Very close to the wonderful park Retiro. At first I was concerned about all the construction work nearby but soon discovered that work is taking place all over Madrid and the hotel, in fact, was a quiet retreat from it all. It's also well sound proofed. |

Very comfortable, quiet hotel in a nice part of Madrid within easy walking distance to the major museums and Retiro park. The breakfast buffet was stunning and set us up very well for a long flight home. We also had dinner one night and the food and service were excellent with some free gazpacho amuse boches. All in all, a terrific hotel, lovely service - highly recommend. |

The friendliness of the staff especially eduardo. Unfortunately we had been robbed at the Metro and Eduardo did everything in his power to make up for that by helping us contact the embassy, airlines etc. It made such a difference to our stay. |

A good quality, well located city centre hotel with exceptionally large rooms, delightful garden and attentive staff (even at 2.00 am on return from Madrid's extensive nightlife). Not cheap but still value for money given quality of hotel. |

It was OK - lots of municipal works around the hotel, a royal mess...hard to get to the hotel, even the experienced taxi drivers. |

Big room. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Professional hotel staff. Nice marble stone and wood decoration lobby style. Free broadband Wifi Internet in the room. The offer of mini bar drinks is a pleasant surprise. Very convenient location. 40 min subway to Airport. 8 min subway to city center. 5 min walk to subway station. Such beautiful hotel would deserve a swimming pool or spa facilities. It's got nothing to do with the hotel but unfortunately Madrid was upside down with sewer and subway works all over the city. |

excellent and friendly staff, both at reception, and waiters in restaurant, very accomodating. I liked having a large terrace right off the bedroom where mycompanion could smoke and we both could enjoy the outdoors, sun etc. not really, it's a lovely hotel and very convenient to shopping, El Museo del Prado, the lively Chueca district, the plaza and Fountain of Cibeles( it's so beautiful!) El Parque del Retiro, all walkable. The Plaza Mayor and the Palacio Real are a bit too far for walking, but possible. So, excellent location. |
