The staff could not be more helpful. The hotel was very close to Puerta del Sol (shopping), Plaza Mayor (people watching and a drink). The rooms are larger than most of the other hotels closeby. I'd choose this hotel again. To get a taxi, walk up to Grand Via and flag one down, as there is quite a premium outside the hotel. |

Everything was very good - the room was large enough and clean, the place was perfect. We got a permision to vacate the room at 2pm. In our opinion the breakfast is overpriced, we did not have it in the hotel - there are planty of options to eat in very close vicinity. |

Price to Value ratio was not good. Hotel billed as luxury but in actual fact this is just a very traditional and standard type hotel, with no modern touches. The staff very very offhand, not very welcoming and quite rude at checkout. There are far better options at similar locations at better prices. |

Hotel is very well situated within the City, rooms comfortable and clean, I should also like to point out that there is an alternative bar style area in the hotel where you can have either breakfast lunch or dinner as a much cheaper alternative than eating in there restaurant, and the food was very good. I would also recommend the restaurant outside the hotel entrance just in the square, named "Garbo", good food at a reasonable price for Madrid. All in all a very good standard of hotel for the money.I would both recommend and at some point return for another long weekend.(PS;) Use the Metro from airport to hotel, it cost just 1 Euro each instead of 30ish Euro by Taxi and takes approximately the same time of 30 minutes to Hotel, It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee making facilities in our room. |

I really liked the way the staff kept and maintained the place as a clean and comfortable hotel. I was impressed with the room service-excellent team. Staff were friendly and they were always helpful. There was good english from the staff which may things easy for our stay. The food was very nice, no complains with the breakfast, there was always fresh and a good variety of foods available!! The hotel is very central and is perfect for getting around madrid. Its near the main shopping areas, bus stops, metros and good food places. Its located in a nice area, no problems and friendly atmosphere! The hotel has plenty to offer and everything was in good condition and modern. It is a quiet hotel with no disturbances and no noise from outside! I have no complains. I booked the hotel over the internet based on the reviews of other customers and the hotel site and it was very accurate. I would definitely stay in this hotel again when i return to madrid:) |

Noting really other than a minor misunderstanding about using the internet via the TV which was not free (we assumed it was since teh wifi in the room was). We should have read the notice better I guess. |

Great location at the shopping street of Madrid. Really in te city centre and all major things to see within walking distance. Near the subway if you want to travel further. The hotel has a classic "chique" look, but is completely up to date. Nice bed and pillow. Breakfastbuffet had a wide range of everything and was well organised. On our visit we were there to see Madrid so we didn't use much of the facilities, so no comment on that. If you book early you have a great place to stay in the city centre for a very reasonable price. |

Location and hotel cleanliness. There was a big confusion regarding the reservation charges. The hotel wanted to charge me more than what was agreed by your e-mails. They wanted to charge for the infants' cribs also. |

The location was outstanding. It was close to the tourist attractions, but on a quiet street steps away from interesting pedestrian streets. We stayed at the hotel twice, before and after our trip south, and we were satisfied with both visits. The buffet breakfast was also quite good. The combination TV, computer, etc. was a bit awkward requiring a slow procedure through menus to see English (or any non-Spanish) programs. To use the computer we still had to buy time on the computer in the business center. |
