the location of the hotel is great, the breakfast also. must mention that during our stay we didnt manage to sleep at all. we stayed in room 108 and our room was connected with the back escalate of the hotel which staff used to carry things, and the main door was connected to the bar i thing. we had noise 24hours everyday |

Very comfortable room with large balcony. Excellent hot and cold buffet breakfast. perfect location for sightseeing and shopping. Heating was difficult to control - too hot during the night. |

The attention of some employees: Oscar (reception) and Ricardo (Bar). The hotel is average (not a 4 star, for sure). The room offered to us was way to small. When we changed, the room had no ventilation at all and was very stuffy. We had to open the window in order to get some ventilation. |

We arrived late at night but before 11.30pm. The over-night receptionist informed us that our reservation for two rooms was cancelled because he tried to charge my credit card and received the denial response from the credit card company. Indeed the card was re-issued to me by my bank a week before we started our trip. However, he couldn’t explain to me who authorized him to charge my card before my arrival and before the date of arrival was over, i.e. before midnight. He simply sold our rooms to our guests. It was disgusting particularly when you arrive at night after a long trip from home. The other rooms were not provided. Generally the front office staff has got poor English skills. |

The hotel is very close to the centre of the city and has all the facilities and services one would expect of a 4 star hotel. Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. Lounge areas are numerous and comfortable. We booked 3 double rooms for the Christmas period; one was located at the front of the hotel and guests there were unable to sleep well due to noise as there was a nightclub close by and the (very narrow) street outside was exceptionally busy with taxis and cars using it as a short cut to car parking facilities. There is no car park at the hotel and - even with a hotel discount - the city car park close by proved very expensive. Some staff were very good but in the main they didn't offer excellent service - we always had to go and look for them for drinks and snacks and they closed up the bar each night without informing clients. |

The staff were very helpful and courteous. The food at breakfast was very good indeed. We asked for, and got, a quiet room which was spacious and comfortable. Top marks to the Maria Elena Palace To have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been an added bonus |

The foyer is stunning and beautifully decorated. The atrium is a great feature. The staff were warm, courteous and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding and very good value. It is clean and smart and appeared to be recently decorated. Our room was spacious and comfortable - I would have liked more of an outlook but it was extremely quiet with no noise from the street. |

The hotel is in a very good location, between Gran via and Plaza Del Sol.Although the street where the hotel is in a narrow street and a little too quiet, but a few minutes walk out you are in the middle of every thing .Our room is very large and comfortable and we may have been upgraded, for what we pay I think we did really well.The Interior of the hotel is quite nice and there is plenty of space to sit around the lobby area and their buffet breakfast is very good . The use of internet is quite expensive ,they charge daily 12 euro , the machine to weigh your luggage is not even free it cost 1 euro. |
