Great location for Madrit sightseeing! The rooms although they were quite small, they were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast, comparing with other hotels, was also sufficient. The Air Condition was quite poor! Madrit's weather was very hot (over 25 Degrees) and since we've stayed in a room with a window looking at the fire exit stairs, the temparature was close to 40 during the day &night!! Also due to the luck of fresh air we had to keep this window open during the night, and after 7:00 in the morning we couldn't withstand the terrible noise. We complaint twice for room changing...but they've refused it. Apart from that issue, the rest were sufficient... |

Excellent breakfast, very helpful receptionists and staff in general, very convenient location in the city. If you're staying over a weekend ask for a room in the back, in order to avoid noise from crowds of the nearby disco. |

The room was spacious and breakfast was very good. Room service stopped at 4 and resumed at 8 30.There was no air conditioning, and the room was very hot. There was smoking allowed in one part of the bar area and this was not made clear in the description of the hotel from your website. |

Excellent room, super facilities cannot be better located as other hotels on main road would be noisy. About two minutes walk to the puerto del sol. The hotel staff very pleasant all round and willing to please. We recommend it 100%! Excellent breakfasts! |

The Breakfast was excellent. The room was cleaned thoroughly each day and the staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful throughout. The room was 119. Right out on the street. I guess I got this room because I booked on the net. The noise level was terrible and there were disgusting people urinating outside against the walls of the hotel all night and in the entrance of the hotel as we came back on the only night of 6 that we stayed out. This is not the fault of the hotel. Because the metro is so good I might think of booking a hotel further out of the city next time. I still think it was value for money even if I didn't get much sleep with all those drunkards outside. They do say it is the city that never sleeps!! |

We were positively surprised of the size - and lokation of the room (404) - however this more than matched by the staff - that being from the reception - over the waiters around the breakfast area and including the cleaning personel as well. Next time we go to Madrid we will definitely try to find a room on Maria Elena Palace. |

Maria Elena Palace was excellent. Very clean. Breakfast excellent. Bedroom and balcony first class.Nice small bar area. Location brilliant handy for Plaza Sol and Metro. Very good value for money. Would definitely stay again. 5 star service Being picky, it is up a narrow street one block back from the main thoroughfare. However this was not an issue as hotel itself is bright and modern inside. You cant change the location ! Previous negative guest reviews were totally off the mark. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.Could do with one more member of staff helping at breakfast to minimise short period of queuing. |

Fantastic location and breakfast! We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. We would definetely come back to this hotel! 1. Parking! You have to take your car to the public parking area, since the hotel doesn't have one. 2. The house-keeping should be done a little better! |

The location was within walking distance of the main cultural interests in the city and near to a Metro Station. The room had a balcony, plenty of space, was modern and well fitted out and clean. The included breakfast was very good indeed. For a capital city centre hotel it was extremely good value. Revellers in Madrid are particularly noisy in the small hours. Shutting the windows and turning on the quiet air-conditioning overcame the problem |

Everything was very good especially the breakfast was very good. The only drawback: the internet does not only cost 10 Euro a day, it did not function in the room we had. The people were very friendly trying to help with it but it still this not work. We had to go downstairs to do some work. |

Location was perfect for sightseeing in Madrid. Would highly recommend One male member at the reception was quite rude one evening, we asked him to book a restaurant, he could not get through, my husband asked him would he please try again later and he said "do it yourself" |

I really enjoyed the buffet breakfast at the hotel and the service we received at reception and the very friendly waiters. The only downside to this hotel was there was a lot of noise from the street and the bed was really hard. |
