The location was perfect for all the city centre sights and breakfast was superb. I booked a double room and was given a twin room. There was a such a great reluctance to even show us a double room, we gave up complaining. |

The breakfast was very good indeed. The room was spacious and clean. The location is excellent. The fact that you have to pay for the Internet. Also, some of the staff was not very helpful. The hotel got us a taxi to the airport and we got ripped off. |

Good location up side street near the sol metro and walking distance of all the main museums/ plaza major and palace. Excellent room, - clean linen everyday. Excellent breakfast and pleasant dining room. Try the Finca de Susana restaurant for excellent evening meal - no need to book but get there early to get a table - or museum de jamon upstairs for a different experience . n/A |

Location Hotel staff incredibly impolite and arrogant - they would walk away from you just as you started talking to them without any excuse (it happened twice from 3 attempts in 2 days); cleaning staff left a mess in our room without cleaning; poor breakfast; shabby furniture; take care when touching anything in the bathroom, as it can fall apart any time - not at all a 4 star hotel - 2 stars at the most. Avoid this hotel even if it is the last one available in Madrid! |

Excelent location in the heart of Madrid, very central , just some minutes walk from Puerta del Sol and Gran Via street. The room was not big but comfortabe, quite and cleaned every day. The breakfast is delicious. Staff at the reception and at breakfast were efficient and very helpful. The room was not big enough. |

Walking proximity to all shopping Bit of ghost ship. Room was overheated; thermostat didn't work; couldn't turn down heat. Windows constructed not to open. Hotel didn't have simple prong adapter to either to borrow or to buy to plug in computer, etc. |

The hotel was very well situation in near the Puerta Del Sol and the Sol metro station. Breakfast was excellent and the staff in the dining room were very firendly. The room and bathroom were very clean. Also it was very quiet at night considering the location within the city. The reception staff member who checked us in was very unfriendly. She didn't welcome us and didn't provide any information about either the hotel facilities nor the location of the hotel within the city and nearest points of interest, restaurants etc. It was very clear she just didn't want to engage in any conversation. Not a first good impression to give of an establishment or of your city. Also the bed was extremely hard. |

Location is pretty good although the rooms are incredibly small with a very poor ventillation. The reception guys did not speak much English apart from one girl (we were lucky to have been checking in during her shift). In fact hotel is not 4 stars but rather 3, so do not expect much if choosing it |

Central position close to shops, restaurants, galleries etc. Rooms very small. Myroom was on the road , very noisy. On one night it was impossible to sleep until a gang of revellers dispersed at 4 a.m..The breakfast was poor and served by siaff with attitude. |

Very good location, right in the center of the city. Nice and helpful personnel. Good choice at breakfast. Very clean rooms and bathrooms. If you plan to stay at this hotel (which is worthwile) try to do all your best and not to occupy a room on the 5th floor - for the ceilings of these rooms are so low that it's real dangerous to stay there, I almost smashed my forehead off. No kidding! |

Staff very helpfull and courteous. Food very good. Bathroom needed refurbishment. No sink plug. Shower water temperature control did not work very well. Water went from medium to too hot during use. Room appeared to have a small leak from above. |

Great location for Madrit sightseeing! The rooms although they were quite small, they were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast, comparing with other hotels, was also sufficient. The Air Condition was quite poor! Madrit's weather was very hot (over 25 Degrees) and since we've stayed in a room with a window looking at the fire exit stairs, the temparature was close to 40 during the day &night!! Also due to the luck of fresh air we had to keep this window open during the night, and after 7:00 in the morning we couldn't withstand the terrible noise. We complaint twice for room changing...but they've refused it. Apart from that issue, the rest were sufficient... |

The hotel is excellent. It is located only one minute walk from Puerta del Sol which is the considered km 0 of Madrid. From here you can reach all the important turist attraction by walk. So, the location is amazing. The rooms are large and very beautiful. Every day the maid cleans the room. And the breakfast is very various with a lot of item, espacially Spanish ones. Absolutelly delicious! If I come again someday to Madrid, definetelly, I will stay the same hotel. |

Lovely hotel - the interior is very classic and outstanding. The staff, both at the reception and during breakfast were very nice and helpful. Breakfast itself was very good. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Muchas gracias! Even based on an inner street, during night the noise from the street can be very disturbing. Although it's not hotel's fault, generally speaking, they may think of noise-proof windows. |

We all enjoyed the extensive choice & quality of the breakfast buffet. The room allocated for single occupancy was small & did not have a chair. |

Excellent location. Good breakfast. Good bar facilities. Rooms are reasonably spacious and the reception staff very helpful. The wireless internet was very unreliable, unsecured network. It was also outrageously expensive - almost 11 Euros per day. This was the most expensive and least reliable wireless internet I had in 6 weeks travelling around Europe. |

Excellent breakfast, very helpful receptionists and staff in general, very convenient location in the city. If you're staying over a weekend ask for a room in the back, in order to avoid noise from crowds of the nearby disco. |
