Old shabby hotel, the prices correspond to service, at it very good arrangement, but in the mornings is noisy. In general all is good. |

The best thing about this hotel is its position. It is by Atocha Station (yet not too noisy) and the three famous art galleries are only a few minutes walk away. Atocha metro is also just a very short walk away. |

Proximity to Atocha Station, plus excellent dining advice from desk staff that took us to a non-touristy part of Madrid. |

Very nice position for travelling around Madrid, close to Metro station, close to the main museums (e.g. Prado, Reina Sofia etc.) It could be more comfortable. |

The hotel was very central and the metro was just outside! There were also great views from the balcony and the Museo Reina Sofia was a 2 minute walk away which was amazing! We asked for a double room but got twin beds instead. The breakfast was also very basic but ok all the same. |

The location was great and the value was reasonable for the price point. Good service from the staff too. The beds were not comfortable - they need to be upgraded |

Hotel was clean and comfortable, and in an excellent location, being close to 3 great art galleries and a large park. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful, apart from the exception noted below One member of staff at reception (the manager?) was off-hand and most unwelcoming when we checked in. Had I not made a reservation, I would have been tempted to look elsewhere for accommodation. This person is totally unsuited for reception duties. Fortunately, all other staff were very pleasant. |

Location and cost Desk staff seemed annoyed to have to check in guests. Air-conditioning and safe in room did not work. You had to request a remote control at front desk if you wanted to watch the TV in your room. |

Staff were helpful (they put up with my pathetic attempts to speak Spanish with great patience). The room was smallish but fine for what I needed. Best thing was it was very close to the Atocha Metro and Renfe train station, and next door to the Reina Sofia, (where Guernica is). I didn't eat at the hotel, but the chocolate and churros at the cafe El Brilliante (2 doors away) was great. |

I loved the fact I had a little terrace that over looked onto the Museo de Reina Sofia. You could leave the shutters open at night and just listen to the chatter of people in the plaza below. |

The location was perfect, walking distance from the station and near art galleries. I asked for a quiet room and got one, facing an internal yard, in a small corridor. Did not hear any noise at all. The beds were cheap but new so I slept very well. Also, there was a table in the room, which is handy. The air conditioner was difficult to regulate. |
