The Hotels bedrooms were comfortable and the hotel was very clean and quite central but more like a 3 star The facilities were poor realy just bed and breakfast eg no bar after 2pm in the afternoon,no where to have a coffee or snack (other than from a vending machine and room service was takeaway) we had to meet friends staying at same hotel in the bar of the hotel a few doors away which was also 4star but had loads of facilities and was about the same price We chose this hotel as its rated 4 star, if it had been rated 3 star we would have been happy with the hotel. |

The location was excellent, just by the Plaza de España and surrounded by good shops and restaurants. We were in a Premium Room, which was extremely spacious and quite luxurious. It was really quiet considering it's right on Gran Vía, although in order to achieve this it overlooked a relatively desolate square. We were given tea and coffee and a kettle - lovely in the cold. And these were refilled as we used them. Staff kindly agreed to give us a second bathrobe for the room - there had only been one upon entry. A few things marred the stay. Firstly, and par for Spain, the Double Room was really a twin. Both beds were comfortable and warm, it's not quite the same. Secondly, the satellite TV was unable to pick up the Barça-Real Madrid match, which we'd really wanted to watch. Finally, staff were not as friendly and useful as I had hoped. They were unable and unwilling to help me with having something brought to the room for my girlfriend's birthday, which was the reason for our trip. When asked to recommend an Italian restaurant, they sent us around the corner to a run-of-the-mill and pricey place. The next day we found a delightful Italian restaurant just up the road. We reckon they had an agreement with the 1st place, which was clearly inferior. |

The rooms were absolutely fabulous, the staff were very friendly and helpful and it was right in the city of Madrid. It was brilliant for the price we got it for, it was a steal!! I'm planning a family break, as I had the opportunity to peak into their family roooms, which was fab and spacious. Separate TV's for the kids, bunk bed, their oun DVD player and very roomy too. I went in a group and there was tea/coffee making facilities in my room, which was great, but some of the guest in my party were missing that. Apparently I got upgraded to an Executive room, because the hotel was fully booked out :-)But would be great if they had tea/coffee facilities in all the rooms. |

The hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Madrid, the metro station is very near. There was a good breakfast. Room was clean. It was noisy in the room at night due to location on Gran Via. We have got a twin room instead of double that was asked specially in remarks and stuff didn't help us to solve this. The stuff in the breakfast room was not cooperative. |

A very good price we paid for the room. Breakfast is very good. Also the hotel is situated very good in the centre of Madrid. The airco didn't worked this time. We asked the reception if something could be done about that. We were told that same day something would be done. But nothing happened unfortunately. |
