The convenience to all the tourist sites without needing to use other transport. Not really but could do with tea and coffee in rooms. Building needs painting. |

Its central location, the nice and clean rooms are good value for money. I was expecting less from some of the reviews I read. I do not expect luxury from a 3 star hotel but I expect nice and clean rooms and friendly staff. As in many other tourist places in Spain, most people do not speak English. Only one of the receptionists could understand a little English and he was very helpful. |

Great location. Reasonable rates. Telephone rates were excessive: a local call (within Madrid) was over 3 euro per minute! (There is a pay phone in the lobby, but still.) |

Cheap and clean hotel, 50 metres from metro, ideal for those who want to have an economic and worthy solution at the center of Madrid. |

I agree with other posters that it has great water pressure and hot water. I would recommend this hotel for what it is: a lower-cost, budget hotel. I cannot remember what the reviews said except that it has great water pressure, which is true. It seemed like an economy hotel (like a Super 8 in the U.S.) instead of a 3-star hotel. If it had been for $55 instead of 55 euros, then the cost would have matched the room. They need to tell people that for the Sony TVs in the room, you have to push the 1, 2, or 3 button to turn them on (instead of the power button, which will turn the TV off, but not on). |

It was conveniently located near Metro stops and a short walk to the Plaza del Sol. The beds were amazingly uncomfortable. Springs jutted out at odd locations requiring bodily contortions I was incpabale of achieving. |

It was centrally located in Madrid. The price for the location and breakfast was good value. The hotel needs a good facelift, the walls in the room were dirty and need decorating and some of the reception staff could not speak English. |

Location.Friendly and helpful staff. 1.On last day, toilet was not working. They "repaired""it, and there was a continuous flow of water! 2. Cockroach in the lobby!!!!! 3. Hotel name was turned off at night, so as a visitor, I had a hard time finding it. |

Central location, helpful staff, comfortable lobby area particularly important when you have to wait for a few hours after checkout in order to go to the airport The internet WiFi was neither working in the room nor the public area. For those like me who work with their own laptops just this one reason will make me discard this hotel in my next visit |

The tryp rex was in a very central location - ideal for everything, shops, bars, restaurants - all were within walking distance and the metro stations were really close too- only a minutes walk from the hotel. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, clean and reasonably priced. |

The location! A problem in the bathroom... but it was well resolved because they changed us to another room. The bathroom is also poor. |

Staff were great and friendly. Location is excellent as very close to all the shops, bars and restaurants. Metro station to the airport is about a 5 min walk They only had 8 double beds and they were all taken. The bar in the lobby was not open the whole time we were there and a vending machine was available instead. The hotel could do with some tidying up but nothing too bad. |

I was able to buy my ticket for the tourist bus from reception My room was very noisy from the street traffic, I was woken up several nights due to drunken behaviour from other guests, there was a strange smell in the room. the hotel staff were rude, the cost of the wireless internet. |
