The view General language barrier, the waiter at dinner did not understand any choices and seemed to make up his own words. Eg: mandarin and ice cream was realy a banana on a plate with a knife and fork |

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Glorious views of winter seas. Easy access to Museums, parkways, Christmas lights, port with historic ships and ocean liners. |

This was our second visit and the staff were very nice especially the young girl on reception. We were a bit disappointed not to have a sea visit but our room was actually much nicer than the last one with the view. |

The location, price, free car park were attractive. The new young reception staff were very friendly and the young female receptionist was always having a smile for you making your day. Hat's off to her. The old grumpy generalissimo at the reception was very unhelpful, knew no English and dictatorial. He doesn't seem to be know the word "hospitality" means. Looks like he is marking time for his retirement. I bypassed him and went to the younger staff whenever possible. If not for this man I would have given an "excellent" for staff grading. The other old receptionist was seemed to be confused all the time not being able to handle the work at the desk. |

Splendid location with a view of the sea, and yet still close to all the city centre attractions of Malaga. Lovely, bright spacious room and good buffet breakfast. |

Pleasant staff, bus stop less than 50 metres from the hotel for trips to city centre or next beach resort. Although separated by a hedge the pool was adjacent to the busy main dual carriageway which ran between the hotel and the beach. |

Close to the beach and clean room (however ants in the bathroom). Staff speak english. Breakfast was included and paid however we weren't allowed to take out anything from the dining room even small donut!!! There were ants in the bathroom! There was only one channel in English language (cnn). Car noise from the street was annoying |

The reception staff were downright rude, they were both unhelpful and uninterested. It was expensive for what you received also. I would not stay here under any circumstances. |

The location was excellent, overlooking the Med, with a long sandy beach to the harbour. Enjoyed a very good beach restaurant, the loungers and a peaceful read after a daily walk to the harbour and back. |

It was very accessible to the beach, 30 min walk from the main shopping in Malaga. Proximity to cultural events and monuments was good. It lacked decent pool facilities, which was in need of some dire t.l.c. The grassy area was poor and unkempt and there was a lack of privacy from the public, as you could be seen from the main roadway and pathway along the beach front. A gate with access sraight onto the beach from was not in use, a simple entrance code system would be good, saving having to go through the main entrance of the hotel each time you wanted to go to the beach.I would say the hotel was tired and little dated. |

The room was a good size and the air conditioning was very afficient. The view from the balcony over the beach was marvellous. The breakfast was very good apart fron the tea and coffee which was out of a machine and was never very hot. The hotel was in a great position but could do with some updating ie. the awning on the dining room windows were in tatters, the paintwork on the balconies was peeling and the bar closed very early although as there was seldomn anyone around I dare say they thought it wasn't worth staying open |

The hotel was central to all of the facilites and the city centre. Staff needed to smile more! Near a busy main road. Buildings needed painting around the pool area. |

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, a short walk from the cathedral and the Picasso Museum, opposite Malaga’s harbour and just 800 metres from La Malagueta beach. |
Our hotel was fully refurbished in 2005, has impressive panoramic views of Malaga and is situated in the city centre, just 100 metres from the beach. |
Housed in an antique villa at the foot of Monte de Sancha, the California enjoys a privileged location only 50 metres from the beach of Playa de la Malagueta. |
Set just metres from the beach, this charming, Mediterranean-style hotel is located in a privileged residential area of Málaga. Try the Andalusian specialities served in its on-site cafe. |
