Hotel Best Western Medicis

The room is clean and new. There is a balcony and the room is nice. Not expensive. Value for money. Free wifi service, and there is a public computer at the lobby for free.

On the second day, there was no air-conditioning in the room, and it was very hot at night!!!!

Too small too compact and rather very poor brakfast

Good location. Very close to the station and 10 min walk to Sagrada Familia. Nice and confortable room. Staff speak good English. The hot chocolate I had in breakfast was really good.

Quite noisy. You can hear the noise coming from other rooms and from outside. There is one computer available to the guests which is free of charge. However there is no time limit that every guest can use. Therefore the staff doesn't do anything if someone is using the computer for 3 hours even if there are many people waiting.

There was free wi-fi included and that worked very well without any problems. The breakfast offered was adequate, good quality, but not a buffet like listed. At least not like I would have envisioned, this was more like a Continental breakfast, not a buffet. I did eat the breakfast because it was in the hotel and that was good.

There was no ice that was available in the hotel. So it was inconvenient when you wanted anything to drink that should have been chilled. There was no coffee available when it was offered on a self-serve basis, so I was not able to take advantage of the offer of availability. There were no English speaking channels offered other than News channels like CNN and BBC.

It was a very pleasant hotels and room was cleaned each day to a high bstandard. Staff speak English

The hotel was decorated in quite a modern style, it was fresh and clean. There was always somebody at reception. The room was cleaned daily and the room was a good size.

It was located in quite a busy road and as a result there was a lot of traffic noise. The hotel could do with some double glazing. Also eventhough there is coffe/tea making facilities in the hotel, it would be good to have a kettle in the room.

The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Room was far too stuffy and hot. We needed to open the door to have enough air, and the noise outside was unbelievable. Disappointing considering how nice the room was for the price.

The room air conditioner did not work properly. Three successive, separate inquiries were made to staff, and they never provided a solution. They said it should work, or it may get colder, but never sent anyone to experience the problem or fix it. It made the night's sleep very difficult due to the high temperature and humidity. No offer was made to switch rooms or provide compensation.
