The close proximity to the Old Town, and beaches The room we were in was noisy outside and underneath, the TV didn't work, the shower holder was off the wall and the bidet stand in the bathroom was stained. |

My wife and I travelled to Nerja to attend a wedding. The Perla Marina was adequate for our stay in advance of the wedding. The pool area was small and we unable to use the beach area in front of the hotel. Extensive work is being carried out on the beach in front of the hotel. As first time guests in the hotel, we were not familiar with the need to purchase deck chairs, windbreaker and umbrella to sun bathe on the nearby beach |

I liked that the staff were so friendly and that the beach and pool are right on your doorstep so to speak. Food was nice. Nice atmosphere. Bar closed at 12am though which was early I thought and no entertainment but all round it was a great place to stay and I would recommend to a friend and stay there again Just the fact there was no entertainment which wasnt a huge issue really as we went out each night anyway - maybe would have stayed in if there had have been some sort of music. |

the hot water did not work the night we were there this is a huge inconvenience for someone who has been traveling all day and it is hot. we were given a very small discount for the inconvenience it should have been much bigger such as half the room price or 2 free dinners |

Well since we were only there for the weekend for a wedding we did not have much time to do very much but it is certainly an hotel that we all would like to go back to as it is set in alovely place and is within walking distance of the lovely town Yes one small thing..they did not serve Coca Cola in the bar only that Pepsi stuff.Oh yes and it would be a good idea to supply an Iron in the room as a lot of people in our group were looking for one as we were there for a wedding |

The hotel was much nicer then I thought it was for the price we paid. Was directly located on the beach which was very nice as some of the hotels in Nerja are located on cliffs so you have to go to other beach areas or walk down 100+ stairs. Buffet breakfast had a nice selection only downfall was they didn't have any regular caffinated tea only herbals. The hotel is located far enough town center so it's quite however close enough to walk into town which was lovely!!! The shower arrangement was strange in our room (274). The shower head hung in the middle of the tub vs at the end. Water pressure was very low and the shower curtain wasn't big enough so water literally went all over the bathroom. |

We were looking for something right on the water. Our room had an excellent view of the water although the beach looked like it was being adjusted (re-graded?) The price was right also. Pretty good breakfast, too. |

Staff pleasant and location ok for walking up into the old town Building work going on constantly literally on the "beach" next to hotel pool. Noise, dust etc hideous. Also hotel pool far too small for amount of guests. |

The sea view Upon arrival at the hotel we had to change rooms as we were given a room at the back of the hotel, even though we had requested a sea view 5 months in advance. We had to pay extra for the sea view. The bedroom walls are not soundproof as we had to endure the couple next door love making for the entire 5 day stay. |

The hotel is very typical of a Spanish run hotel and you get what you pay for. This was our 4th visit and nothing seems to have changed over the years; we love the location and the hotel is very clean. A few changes in the rooms would have made so much difference to our stay ie Kettle, new TV, a fridge that stays on when you leave the room, better bathroom towels, pool towels need to be provided; especially with weight restrictions on air travel for guests from other countries. |

The rooms were decent, clean and had the necessary amenities. Our room had a nice view of the sea. Service and breakfast were ok. The hotel is centrally located but still in a quiet area. The hotel is rather impersonal, the rooms (and the hotel in general) are a little outdated. We also disliked the fact that there were construction works going on at the beach in front of our room (we weren't notified of this). As the rooms are poorly isolated, you hear quite a lot of noise from the other hotel guests (TV, water running, furniture that is being moved around...). |

Well sittuated to visit the old town with lovely views over the mountains and sea. Reception staff particularly helpful. For the second time running there was an official function at the hotel - the lounge bar was stripped of furnture and there was no alternative for ordinary guests. A new promenade is being built between the hotel and the beach at the moment - quite noisy if you have a room overloking the beach. |
