Hotel Nicol's

For the price we paid, this was a good hotel. The location was about 10 minutes drive out of town and the room was basic, but clean. Hotel staff were friendly, and helpful.

We were placed in another building of the hotel separate from reception where the wifi internet did not work. The walls were thin, and there was a lot of noise in the corridor throughout the night.

Trier restaurant meals were well prepared and value for money.

The facilities were showing thier age.

Parking was free. Internet access was free even though it was not a good trade off for the price of the room. Conveniences were good.

The price was too high. The heating was not very good

The location, the peace and silence, except for the "basura" track in the middle of the night!

I was not aware how far it was, but I got good directions for catching the bus, so I adjusted to the circumstances and the bus schedule. The walk up the hill was worth the peaceful setting.

Staff extremely helpful and polite. Food in hotel restaurant was superb!!!Really surprised hotel was only classed as 2star!! Would recommend!

Hotel Nicol's is a great hotel for a great price. It was very clean and the room was cleaned daily with fresh sheets and towels. The hotel has amazing views of the ocean and the grounds are very nice with tables and chairs outside to enjoy the sunset and a glass of wine.

It is about 7-8 minutes in car up the mountain from San Sebastian so it is not very close to the beaches. But there is a bus (number 16) that runs very close to the hotel.
