The central location of the hostel was perfect for me, the Plaza Santa Ana what I loved so much was only only 1 minute walk, and excellennent music clubs, pubs and nice terraces surrended the place. I liked that our room wasn't small, but bright, tidy and well-furnished with balcony. I get the roomk what I booked (2 seperate bed, with a balcon, higer floor) The continental breakfast was the same all day, and a littler bit poor, but not bad! |

This is the perfect spot for a Madrid weekend break. It is incredibly central, with the Plaza S Ana, and all its nightlife, adjacent. Puerto del Sol is a five minute walk away. The hotel itself is spotless and there is aircon. We stayed in a triple room, which was spacious and easily accommodated us. This hotel is excellent value and I would definitely stay there again. |

The staff was excellent--very helpful and customer service-oriented! The walls are too thin; I could hear people going up and down the hallway, slamming their doors, and even the constant snoring of the guest next door. |

Was in the best possible location for exploring the whole city and almost all the staff were very friendly and helpful The night staff were considerably rude on one occasion and kept us waiting 15 minutes for a glass whilst he started and completed his computer work. He then took all of 30 seconds to retrieve the glass from the dining room |

The hostal is very central and all the important parts of the city centre are within walking distance. It is clean and comfortable and the inner rooms very quiet. Although basic, the rooms are perfectly adequate, and the staff are delightful. I will certainly stay here again. Not really, but I would have happily paid a little more for wi-fi connection. |

The best part of my stay was the unfailing friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They even spontaneously contacted me to say that they had inadvertently overcharged me by 16 Euros and wanted to reimburse me. My single room was very tiny, the shower was too small and the door (the room was next to the elevator) provided no barrier to even the slightest sound in the hallway. However, noise was only a problem on Saturday night, with people returning to the hotel very late and being loud. The other nights were fine. |

the location was really cental and useful to visit the city, for me was the best site to stay in madrid !! all the rooms have the window on the interanl biuldong, not on the street, so it was any noise form 'movida' :-) maybe by the kind of price (very cheap with booking), the room was really small, and the bed too !!! we are a couple, and it was quite difficult to sleep not in a double but in a single half bed! luckIly, the 2nd night were arriving a group of joung people andh teh staff was so courtesy to change our room, and the second room was a REAL room! |

I booked this hostal/ hotel as it was the cheapest I could find for one night. It was excellent for the price I paid. I will definitely stay there again the next time I go to Madrid and the connected restaurant next door was fantastic. |

I had such a nice stay at the hotel Persal (from 16th to 18th January 2009) with some friends of mine and we've all been really satisfied: gorgeous location, spotless, comfortable and nice rooms. The breakfast was definitely acceptable (filling anyway) and included in the rate: 180€ per a double-bed room per two nights, in the heart of Madrid! Cool!! Nothing: I would really like to go back there. |

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is great for walking around Madrid. The balcony had a great view of the plaza. Heating was radiator, warm and toasty. The "double" beds were small and hard. The "breakfast" was minimal and not recommended. |

There are many things we liked about the hotel. It was quiet, very clean and excellently located. The breakfast variety was excellent. I liked looking into the room the evening beforehand and seeing the homemade croissants ready for baking in the morning. Being that the breakfast was free helped make this hostal a choice over others. The staff was very helpful and did well in English. We were on the fourth floor and our room was hot even though it was in November and we turned off the heat. We had some problems using the wireless in the lobby but this was repaired. |

Located in the very heart of Madrid, this charming hotel is surrounded by many of the city’s most popular attractions. A traditional and cosy hotel in the Opera area, just off Puerta del Sol. |
Located next to the historic centre on Puerta de Toledo, this smart hotel has a great breakfast buffet and a lounge bar perfect for relaxing in after visiting the sights. |
Tijcal I is located just 20 meters from Plaza Mayor and in a pedestrian area. It is right in the city centre – close to Puerta del Sol, the Royal Palace, Almudena Cathedral. |
Nestled in the central and tranquil market street of El Rastro, this hotel offer a privileged position near Puerta del Sol and within walking distance of Plaza Mayor, Prado Museum and Retiro Park. |
