Area information

Historically, the relative isolation of the region of Extremadura meant it remained a rich unexplored, unspoilt territory full of mystery and remoteness right up until its colonisation by Arabs and Romans. Today, the area remains rich in natural beauty, with the added interest of a fascinating history and culture, exemplified by the Monastery of Guadalupe and the Roman Theatre. The region once bustled with trade from the colonies and Extremadura boasts some of the most well preserved stretches of the famous Silver Route. Along the way, you can admire the wonders of the town of Zafra, a medieval treasure concealed behind ancient stone walls. The rural peace that travellers of yore so admired remains intact in Monfragüe Park, an ecological reserve and a beautiful lush Mediterranean forest. You could also explore the medieval city of Cáceres, which opens up through the historic Arco de la Estrella entrance, or admire the religious art of Badajoz and its many architectural marvels, which reflect the richness of the city’s history, with influences from all around the world.

The hotel is approximately 15 km from Badajoz’ Talavera La Real Airport. Taxis are readily available from just outside the airport.

By Car:
The hotel is situated on the E-90 (Avenida de Adolfo Díaz Ambrona), a major road, just off the A5 motorway. From the A5, take the exit for Badajoz and follow the signs towards the city centre.

The hotel has great access to the region’s major road network and the N-V Madrid-Lisbon motorway.
