Salamanca has a mixture of artistic styles: Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Plateresco.
Some places of interest are: the Cathedral, the University, la Casa de las Conchas, el Palacio de Monterrey, el Colegio de Fonseca, Santa Clara, the Roman bridge, San Esteban, la Hospedería, la Clerecía and the Plaza Mayor.
House-Museum Unamuno
The rector of the University of Salamanca in 1900 has his home-museum dedicated to perpetuating his memory. His home can be visited as well as the personal library and archive of the writer.
University and Collections of the University.
Located in one of the patios of the Escuelas Menores the "El Cielo de Salamanca" forms part of the dome of the old University library. The museum also houses other lithurgical elements from the XVI and XVII centuries. In the old University building, a collection of reptiles are of great paleontologic interest.
In the surroundings you can find beautiful landscapes and typical villages in the Peña de Francia, Sierra de Béjar and Arribes del Duero.

The hotel was excellent value for money. The design was elaborate but beautifully finished. Room was fantastic and I liked the underfloor heating . Location is great just 5 mins from historic area Design was a bit like a Barbie dolls castle, but again everything was polishd and shining. |

Good location, short walk to Plaza Mayor; good breakfast; very pretty room decor Internal wall sound-proofing inadequate, could hear neighbour snoring and using bathroom. Airconditioning (cooling) did not work. Lot of street noise which could be reduced by closing double-glazed window, but as airconditioning didn't work, this would be a problem in summer time - choice=street noise or hot room |

El hotel es correcto, tiene buen precio y una decoración divertida.Magnifica ubicación. Recorres el centro de Salamanca andando. El personal correcto y educado pero un poco seco. Hidromasaje pequeño y ruidoso. El acceso dentro parking es complicado. |

La atencion por parte del personal, su situacion centrica, la relacion calidad-precio y su limpieza ¿Seria mucho pedir un espejo de aumento en el cuarto de baño? Lo digo por el maquillaje de las mujeres. Ah! no solo por el precio he elegido el hotel, tambien la ubicacion y el ya haber estado enel. |
