Visit with our daughter (she is a student), went to museums and cathedral, shopped in stores around the Plaza. We enjoyed Spanish food and culture. The complimentary breakfast was delightful. |

Superb location in centre of Salamanca. Receptionist, Helene, is undoubtedly a very pretty young lady, but even more was so helpful and knowledgeable - she greatly enhanced the quality of our stay. |

Great location. No views to speak of however. This is no reflection on the hotel itself, but if the weather is mild the students will be out until late and they are too loud. The locals seem to find this acceptable. I did not and suggest a water cannon. |

There was a slight problem with the locks when we arrived, and so they put us up in another (technically superior) hotel, and then gave us a lovely room in recompense. Our room was large and nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom nice, and the service very friendly and helpful. And location could only be more central if it were actually on the Plaza Mayor It is in a very noisy location, right next to the Plaza Mayor and what seems to be a student bar, and when we were there (admittedly at the start of term) there were noisy drunks passing by regularly until about 4 - and the city starts up at 8 or so, they were using pneumatic drills opposite for something. You can sleep fine provided you shut the windows completely, and perhaps put the air conditioning on - but with windows open it was impossible. Noise sensitive people should be aware! |

Receptionist extremely helpful and nice; breakfast not the usual tired selection and coffee comes out of a proper espresso machine; youthful decor inside an old building just off the main square. Parking a bit tricky in the tight underground garage. |

The location was great, right in the centre of Salamanca, and the car park was cheap considering the location. Also, they serve breakfast until 12:00, which is a good service. They also put an apple in your room every day, which was a nice touch. The breakfast room was tiny and there was often a queue. Being so small you couldn't get away from all of the screaming children so if you sat for more than 10 minutes you would get a headache from the noise. |

Parking appalling, especially with large car. Area outside hotel is a busy bus stop, so difficult even to load/unload. No facilities at all at or near hotel for parking vehicle with top box. Receptionist feckless. Kept directing us to car parks which were obviously inaccessible. |

location, breakfast, hotel design, cleanliness, ease of visiting daughter at university, local shopping, cathedral, historic sites. I wish the city itself offered guided tours in English--not the problem of the hotel however.... inconsistent water temperature |
