Staff very friendly. Superb location. Looks a little tired - sun-faded furniture; needs lick of paint. Breakfast ridiculously expensive. |

The location of the hotel could not be better. Very impressed with San Sebastian. Excellent beach, elegant city. Enjoyed old fishing port restaurants. |

The rooms that face the beach/bay are spectacular. You can open the French doors and get the best view in the city! |

Excellent location Friendliness of staff, management of breakfast in the morning, check-in slow and unattentive staff. Defenmitely not a 5 star hotel level of staff. I would loook for alternative hotel on my next rrip. |

A nice clean hotel in a good location. Excellent views if staying in a room facing the sea. We found the reception staff quite stand offish and snobby making minimal effort to meet the needs of their guests. The idea of a 4* hotel charging over €6 an hour for internet access appalls me. |

The situation is unbeatable. The best in San Sebastian. There were building works outside the hotel and even with double glazing this was intrusive as work started at 8.00 am. Not the hotels's fault and they did give us a junior suite for the same price. |

I opened my glass door to my small little patio and the beach is right in front of you....make sure you reserve a room with 'Sea View' option. The hotel looks really luxurious. The staff was helpful enough. Know some Spanish, and know some basic Basque words..even better. Internet access (WiFi) was 10euro/day. |

Great location and terrific views. Old-style hotel with character. There was unfortunately a major construction site right outside during our stay in July 2009. The noise even through closed windows was very annoying and spoilt the stay there somewhat |

This was our favorite hotel during our entire European vacation. It was a combination of setting, view, size of room, cleanliness, luxury, service and price. We got a big room for some reason and it was great. The rest of the family got smaller rooms and they were less pleased. I would definitely try to get the larger or deluxe room. There was construction of a new building next door. |

I liked the proximity to the beach and the bar. When I arrived, there was no tour of the facility, no bellboy to help with the luggage. The clerk at the desk simply handed me a key to the room and said "here you go". Additionially, throughout our entire stay, the fire alarm kept going off - probably 5 times a day. Don't plan on getting much sleep if you stay here. |

The view of the bay from my bedroom window and the opertunity to reviit a hotel I stayed in as a child more than 46 years ago. The friendly and helpful reception and door man. The swing bar and limited public areas for guests. The idea of an all inclusive set dinner menu and the fact that the hotel was definately set up for transatlantic visitors. High cost of meals, especially breakfast, compared to other parts of Northern Spain. |

An outstanding location, but you must book a beach view room. Close to the old town for night time entertainment and across the walkway from the beach. Facilities were very good and staff very helpful. Highly recommended!! |

This classic old hotel is beginning to show signs of age but I believe that only adds to it's charm. Excellent location, friendly and efficient staff and balconies overlooking the beach made for a memorable stay. If you go try to get a room on the 5th floor overlooking the beach for fabulous views of San Sebastian's Playa de Concha, Christ on the hill and the old quarter. |

The view of the beach is spectacular. Walking to the restaurants/bars and various nearby shops is a great way to spend some quality time with family and friends. There is a cost to use the internet (should be complimentary) and the connection was SLOW. |
