Central location for exploring the city. Cleaniness. Hotel exterior could do with a bit of refurbishment. Air con did not have a temperature control. Very noisy street. |

The hotel staff are excellent, willing to supply information on whatever requested. The hotel is very conviniently located on Gran Via, and very close (no more than 100 m) to the Plaza Espana Metro Station. It is an excellent location for shopping, site seeing and business. Drinks and small snacks are offered through venting machines on the floor. However, they could be offered in every flat. The only really annoying thing is the noise coming from Gran Via. Even though the hotel has double glass, it seems this is not good enough. |

At Tryp Washington we had a pleasant, spacious room, friendly, helpful staff and a good buffet breakfast. Most importantly the hotel has an excellent central location close to plenty of places to eat, Metro stations and a little park and in walking distance of lots of Madrid's attractions and landmarks. |

The rooms were very clean and spacious. Towels and bed linen were changed frequently. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The Airport Shuttle bus was advertised as being available at this hotel but when we enquired this service was not available. The web site should be updated more frequently for the facilities available as this was one of the factors which made me choose this hotel. |

Its location is excellent on the Gran Via and very near the Place Espana. We took the metro from the airport it was so easy and the metro stop Place Espana is only 2mins from hotel. We got great offer last room non refundable price which made it even better. The room was a good size with full bathroom and excellent breakfast. I would highly recommend it. |

Good clean hotel and very convenient for walking to all the sites in Madrid. Near the metro and easy to reach the airport. Excellent breakfast, good choice of cooked eggs and bacon and cold meats and cheese. Safe in room. Comfortable bed. |

We spent a couple of days in Madrid prior to joining our coach tour. The staff were very welcoming & helpfull plus spoke much better English than we could Spanish. Our room was very comfortable. The hotel is very well situated for walking to see the sights. We we had to stat a night at the end of our tour & were happy to re-book with Tryp Washington. Street noise was the only negative. We now call Madrid 'Siren City'. Police & Ambulance all day & night. Being on the main street through the City has its downfall but we would recommemd it for the convenience. |

The staff was very helpful and people were always smiling. The bathroom was big and comfortable. We were in couple but we had to sleep in separate beds since there was no double bed.Besides the room walls were dirty. |

the hotel staff politeness. We specifically asked for a high floor. We got a room on the 4th floor which was noisy because of the traffic running on Gran Via St. |

Close to top tourist landmarks. Public Transport (metro) within 3 minutes walking distance. Room (8th floor located at the back of hotel) had a balcony and a bit of a view of Madrid rooftops. Room was a good size. Room did not have a bar fridge. The double bed was 2 singles pushed together with separate linens. Hence I would not recommend this hotel to people wanting a romantic getaway. |
