Generally the hotel was comfortable though room small. Good selection of food for breakfast. I didn't like the layout of dining room as we were placed next to kitchen door at breakfast time and could hear all the clattering from the kitchen as well as the door banging back and forth all the time. Room was non-smoking but smelt of smoke. |

Very central location, everything within walking distance, we never used the metro during the 4 days. However on a big and noisy road. But we had the chance to choose between front or back room when checking-in, this was very good ( I suppose it is based on availability). By walking around I've seen many central, but more relaxed located 3 star hotels, so next time I would book in one of those. |

The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.The room was of a reasonable size and the bathroom was good, particularly the shower.The hotel's location on the Gran Via was excellent, perfect for a city break, where you want to explore the city. The beds were a little hard. |

This was fantastic location. The breakfast is absaloutely excellent. Staff extremely helpful. Could not find fault with any part of the hotel, would highly recommend when going again would definitely stay at this hotel. half a minute from metro station. |

We found the hotel very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. We also found the proximately of the hotel good for what we wanted to do. the only thing we did not like about the hotel is it was very hard to get a drink at night. The bar closed at 11.00 which was not a problem but you were left ages before being served and you got the impression you were only a nuisence when you asked for drinks. We also found the bar staff not very friendly. |

I liked the standard of the hotel, its proximity to the trasures of Madrid and friendly staff. I would have enjoyed a bit more if the hotel staff was speaking better English. |

Very good location, rooms are tidy and always clean. a bit noisy, rooms didn't have a view to the outside, and the room size was small. Also the elevator dates from the 1800's a bit annoying and antique but still usable |

Great location, about 30 seconds walk from Gran Via station. Close to lots of shops, bars & restaurants. Journey time from the airport on the metro approximately 35 minutes but bit of a headache if you have large bags as some of the connecting stations have steps. Really nice staff & decor. Wifi is free which was a bonus! I chose a room at the back of the hotel. It was quiet apart from in the middle of the night the waste collection service comes around making lots of noise. My room had no air con which was needed even in Feb. |

great hotel in central area.highly recommended for the price and excellent staff air con would not turn to cold setting in our room so a bit stuffy with our irish hangovers but hotel highly recommended all the same |

Excellent location, just 50 meters from Metro station, close to many monuments, very clean room, tasteful breakfast. Some single rooms are very small. Only the staff of reception speaks English, so there is problem in communication in the bar for example. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is very central I booked a superior room and frankly it was disappointing, it was very dark, the lighting was extremely poor, it was virtually impossible to read at night. The room could have done with a facelift, scuffed paint and generally not of 4 star standard. The wardrobes were sticking all the time and did not move on their tracks properly. The bathroom whilst spotless was old and tired. |
