建物も設備もしっかりとしたゆとりのある造りで、とても快適。朝食もとても良かったです。SOL、GRAN- -VIA、SEVILLAの地下鉄各駅から徒歩２～３分でアクセスも抜群、アルカラ通りを一筋入った路地に面- しているものの、大通りの喧騒がうそのようでした。付近は一番の繁華街ですが警官の姿も多く、路地でも私の- 場合はとくに危険を感じるような雰囲気はありませんでした。 週末や特別な日にはホテルの表と裏の路地にあるバールの前で人々が明け方まで盛り上がっていますが、これも- マドリッドと割り切るほうがいいでしょう（路地に面しない部屋もありました）。ただ、ホテルの部屋の大きな- 窓の中央部が窓枠との密着が悪く、その隙間から外の音がけっこう漏れてくるので、ここをふさぐ処置をしてく- れればかなり静かになると思います。 |

食事がよかったのと、フロントは英語が通じました。 部屋はキレイですが、ところどころ修復箇所や穴の開いた箇所がありました。もう少し目立たなくすればよいの- にと思いながらもこれが海外のホテルなのだろうなと思いました。ただ、この価格ですから大満足です。なお、- ホテル前の通りは、なんだか寂しい感じがします。 |

地下鉄駅徒歩数分、プラド美術館も徒歩圏内、周囲にはレストラン、商店も多く、たいへん便利な立地。部屋は- 広めで快適、スタッフも感じがいい。 悪い点ではないが、シャワーだけの部屋もあるので、気になる人は事前に確認した方がよい。 |

規模は大きくはありませんがクォリティの高さを感じさせる雰囲気です。客室もセンス良いインテリアでシンプ- ルにまとめられていて好感がもてます。ダブルの部屋でバスタブもあり、ミストシャワーもついていました。朝- 食は7時半からバイキング形式で食べられます。8時からのホテルが多い中、助かりました。種類もほどほどに- 豊富でよかったです。レセプションの方はとても親切でチェックアウトに時に急ぐならと先に電話でタクシーを- 呼んでくれました。 プエルタ･デル･ソルに近くてとても便利で立地条件は良いのですが、アルカラ通りの１本裏の殺風景な通りに- あるため、昼間でもちょっと暗い感じで夜遅く帰るのには怖い感じがしました。とても快適なホテルだけにちょ- っと残念です。 |

部屋は綺麗でした。朝食もおいしかったです。スタッフも親切な方ばかりでした。 通りに面した側の部屋だったのですが、夜中に若い子達が毎晩騒ぐ声がものすごく、耐えかねて部屋を変えても- らいました。通りに面した部屋側だけでも、防音サッシにすれば良いのにと思いました。それさえなけでば良い- ホテルだと思います。 |

部屋は広くてきれいでした。お風呂のバスタブが大きく、高性能のシャワーがよかったです。 入り口が人通りの少ない通りなので、夜は怖いです。朝ごはんがあまりおいしくないです。 |

立地は良い。ヨーロッパのホテルの朝食にしては珍しく、サラダがある。オレンジジュースがおいしい。 ホテルの隣がBARなので、通りに面している部屋はうるさくて眠れなかった。なので、途中で部屋を変更して- もらった。 |

I was very glad I opted for Maria Elena Palace, it was the perfect choice: close to three metro station, Gran Via & Plaza del Sol. They gave us the room earlier, keept our lugage after checking-out... the breackfast was a joy, the building itself impressing. |

Friendly, courteous staff and no language problems. Although I have ticked all the boxes "good" they were on the "excellent" side of "good" in all cases. Everything worked and there was a sense of space and comfort and lot of trouble gone to to keep the place looking pristine and presentable. Good and extensive breakfast buffet and a fine restaurant. Although set in an unprepossessing back street, it is spacious and centrally located both for tourists and business people alike. Close to shops and the metro. So much as it is a grumble, we had to wait one morning for about ten minutes to be seated in the breakfast area but the hotel was full and the large area clearly not big enough on that occasion. Expensive internet connection charge. |

Reception staff wre helpful, hotel clean and tidy. Room too was clean and tidy. The mattress and pillows were quite hard. Also there was no bath only a shower and there were no tea making facilites in the room. |

Proximity to the Old City. The noise levels on Friday and saturday night were totally unacceptable. Anyone wishing to stay here should be advised to keep away on Friday/satutrday due to the Night Club next door.I complained formally to the Hotel manager |

The Maria Elena Palace is superbly situated for a city break in Madrid. Although it doesn't look very impressive from the outside you step into another world as you pass through the front door. When we arrived after a reasonably long journey we were greeted by two men who appeared to be managers behind the reception desk who kept us waiting for a long time whilst they fonished what they were doing. We were then greeted with some indifference!! Our room was very nice but I don't think I have ever slept in such a hard bed in the past. |

Excelent breakfast (included in the price) from 7.30 to 11.00am, obviously to cater for tourists, which I was. Lovely clean and modern surroundings. I can't fault it. |
