- 8.1Scored 8.1Very goodRated very good· 348 reviewsWe love the location on the shores of Lake Joseph in the Muskoka's. The restaurant and lounge had a wide range of choices in a wide price range. As it was off-season (mid-October) we didn't take advantage of the outdoor amenities like paddle boards, kayaks and fat bikes but we did enjoy sitting around the fire, after dinner, talking with other guests, and roasting marshmallows.

It had an odd taste that was off-putting. Couldn't drink the coffee or tea because of it. Purchased bottled water which solved the problem for the most part..also had to purchase a small kettle from Port Carling for our morning tea as the room supplied coffee maker/kettle was very small. Overall we enjoyed ourselves very much however i think the water quality at the inn is something that should be reviewed by management.

The view of the lake from our room was beautiful. We went in the dead of winter during a Covid spike so not a lot to do. Walking on trails and then lighting a fire, moving an easy chair to the window to overlook the lake with a book was very cozy. Breakfast and dinner were really good! First class towels.
