Very warm central heating-had to turn radiators down a bit! Great washer/dryer-I did not notice it was a dryer as well for a while! Induction hob worked fine once got the hang of it. Barbon Inn very nice and down to earth/old fashioned.

Supper in front of a real fire was lovely, and for breakfast I opted for scrambled eggs on toast which was very nicely served with additional toast, preserves and tea. Talking to the new owner of the pub about what she and her husband have taken on was really interesting as it's an amazing old inn: I really hope they make a success of it!

Barbon is a small picturesque village to the north of Kirby Lonsdale (Westmorland) situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Barbon is also host to the Barbon Inn built as a 17th Century coaching Inn. Sandra greeted us with a warm welcome and provided a comfortable overnight stay with a hearty farmhouse breakfast.

The Barbon inn was in a lovely quiet hamlet with amazing views from our window. We had an excellent well signed walk direct from the pub which gave us a good appetite to sit outside in the sunshine for a great meal and good beer.
