EVERYTHING!!!! This is THE gold standard for pub + lodging! The moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our room. Dinner was fabulous! Our room, the 'Shire' was a ''family room' with much more space than we needed :) The breakfast provided a great selection and was delicious! The staff was amazing - Emma greeted us, Joe and Ben served us drinks and dinner and Kirsten (GM) was around all evening! They even allowed us to extend our stay 'on the fly' :) This place is now our FAVORITE stay ever!!!!

We ate dinner there two nights out of four and the food was outstanding - the spicy seabream dish was superb. And finally the staff are genuinely nice people, considerate, helpful and professional.

The staff were very helpful, and it's a very well run and professional pub/hotel. I'm a big fan of supporting local business, and this place far outstrips the Travelodge or Prem Inn type hotels.
