Booked all the rooms at the venue for our Wedding reception. The rooms were spacious and well decorated and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The function room, snug, and restaurant/buffet area was perfect! The buffet food was brilliant ! No-one left hungry ! The reception guests all praised the venue , food and staff. The staff worked very hard. Thank you !!!

We found some unexpected comforts for a country inn like bathrobes, complimentary chocolates, milk and water in the fridge. The food is fantastic. A big and very delicious breakfast. Everything is of a very high quality and comfort with very thoughtful additions to make it a pleasant all round experience. The food supplied for breakfast was quite spectacular with more than enough for our stay. Ginny and Henry are very friendly and helpful hosts. We plan to stay again next time we visit Lewes. Highly recommended.

Our dinner in the restaurant was delicious, a good choice of wine and drinks and the serving staff (Poppy) very helpful. The breakfast menu choice was much better than just the usual standard English breakfast offering, plus the choice of pastries, juices etc was well presented, plus a selection of newspapers.
