The Plough Inn was a wonderful little place to relax before heading out of town via Gatwick. The pub was wonderful and the clientele was friendly and fun.

Situated in the centre of Cranleigh, The Richard Onslow has a terraced garden and offers free Wi-Fi. Some of its rooms overlook the High Street, while others have views of the peaceful patio.

Rooms also have a TV with cable channels for guests to enjoy, as well as an iPod docking station. Each comes with facilities for making tea and coffee, and has an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer.

The Richard Onslow is a gorgeous hotel/inn, with really friendly and helpful staff, a very comfortable room, and delicious breakfast! I particularly liked the fact that there were coffee bags in the room, rather than instant coffee. It was also cool to be able to see the wattle and daub in the wall, which had been made into a lovely decorative feature and gave a really great sense of the building's history.

Friendly welcome for the landlady, who was informative and helpful. Interesting old pub building, low beams, old pictures and prints, some amusing signage. So good surroundings for a good dinner, fairly standard pub fare. We had a light breakfast but the full English on the next table looked really impressive! Especially as it was included in the price - $90, very good value.

We liked the creaky floorboards, noisy plumbing and other quirks that come with staying in a sixteenth century building. We enjoyed the excellent food and beer that you would expect from a freehouse inn. The views were great and it's but a shortish walk to Leith Hill. The prices were more than reasonable; great value all round. But we especially appreciated the atmosphere of friendliness that defines the whole establishment.
