The accommodation is set in a beautiful historic inn. The rooms ooze character and were decorated very well. The location of the Standard Inn is fantastic; located right in the centre of the town. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic too.

Historic Inn. Did not disappoint. A very enjoyable stay made all the more fascinating by the history and idiosyncrasies of a building of this age.

The Standard Inn is a great pub in Rye. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. I loved the rustic pub decor. The Pub is known for its great beer and delicious food. Be sure to reserve a table for dinner as its usually full. The included Breakdown was great. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic historic Inn, friendly welcome. Surprisingly large room for this type of" olde worlde" pub. Very comfortable. Location is great, right at the centre of the village, only ten minutes or so from the railway station. Castle and other pubs nearby. Bar areas are tremendous, huge fireplaces which must be great in the colder weather. All the public rooms are almost museum pieces, very atmospheric. Loved the place.
