Beautiful location in a quaint pub surrounded by corn fields. The room was very thoughtfully furnished and decorated in what I describe as Shabby chic. Amazing bath tub.

Bathroom all good and clean , nice decor, in all very happy. We ate dinner and breakfast in the Inn , everyones meal was very good and breakfast was more that ample portions.. the host and staff all very accommodating , helpful and polite- in making ones stay comfortable indeed. In all a wonderful overnight experience and stay at the George Inn, thoroughly recommend it .

We were not disappointed. Gorgeous room in fab pub in a beautiful little village not far from Wells. Huge bedroom with king size bed and bathroom with shutters that opened out onto the street at the front. It was lovely and we were sorry we weren't there for longer. We will definitely stay again. Hazel in particular struck us as so good ( she was everywhere, checking us in, overseeing breakfasts, arranging dinner bookings, etc) that we thought she was a manager. As an experienced CEO, I would have hired her in a nano second had I been in the hospitality industry. But all of the staff we met were polite and helpful.

Lots of places to eat out locally but we were happy to get back to the cottage, light the woodburner then cook for ourselves in the very well equipped kitchen.

Plenty of room for everything in huge under-bed drawers, the whole depth of the bed. Supplied with everything you need including a powerful hairdryer, not a tiny travel one! Powerful shower in double sized shower enclosure. Nothing feels tiny. We had an excellent dinner in The Swan in Wedmore too. Have already recommended to friends.
