Like (really) all cities in Peru in town square has the historic cathedral, town hall, hotels, restaurants etc. Trujillo's cathedral is beautiful. My room (king size bed booked, ask for #207), had the portico wrap around balcony that you see in the picture on the second floor, was spacious and while not recently updated was clean and unique. The staff helped me find a place to wash my clothes (surprisingly difficult in this city). The breakfast is all of the typical Peruvian things (eggs, bread, coffee, juice), and served in the restaurant next door. So the cook was good, I actually found it to be one of the better breakfasts I've had. The hotel is two blocks from the main square, and the street isn't very noisy. My room was comfortable and the wifi worked well.PeterSolo traveler

He was always available to answer questions about the accommodation and about the city of Trujillo. He accommodated my schedule for the room cleanings, and went out of his way to provide additional amenities that I requested, including a microwave. I felt very safe at his residence. You can take surfing lessons with Randy who really helps you improve your surfing skills. A huge breakfast is included and the restaurant is also perfect for lunch or dinner. The hostel has a little area where you could sit and socialise.
