Bel & The Dragon at The Red Lion is a historic grade II-listed coaching inn with stunning features dating back to 1669 and possibly even earlier in origin; much of the original building still stands. It has been sensitively restored this year, with the aim of providing a premium, contemporary English inn, with sophisticated charm and historic character. The building features a 17th century fireplace and exposed beams, it also has free WiFi and free on-site parking. Accommodations were great-- was perfect for the husband, me and our 6-year old. She loved sleeping in a bunk bed! Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. Loved seeing young adults making a go of it at this place...and getting it right! Congrats, guys!

Ideal for a weekend away in a quaint village, the hotel has easy access to Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, and even London via the M1. Food offering was limited but this is a village pub. Not a restaurant, portions were very generous.

This family-run Victorian coaching inn, set in the beautiful village of Waddesdon, offers comfortable accommodation with a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Guests can take a walk through the famous Waddesdon Manor. Built in 16th century French chateau style, here you will find an impressive array of art including work by Gainsborough and Reynolds. The staff was wonderful. The young lady serving for breakfast was very sweet, she helped me get my Covid test printed to take to the airport.
